  • I did think of my OPs LB! That is why I am still using a hot water bottle in July! On plus side though last winter wasn't quite so bad so saved some money on fuel then. :)

  • Hi...
MFW139 checking in with £60 July OP.

    And a little announcement....
have just bought a new house Oops.:o

So, a slight detour on the MF front where house 1 is concerned (BTL mortgage in progress and tenant move in date agreed) and Spigs, its likely that'll be all the OPs I can make on house 1 against that 2012 £8K target.
Over £5K of OPs this year is nothing to be sniffed at and the BTL wouldn't (ironically) have been possible without this reduction in LTV - so thanks for the motivation, you guys.

Future MFW efforts will now be shared with my partner and against the new property, so will need to revamp the spreadsheet and determine the next OP target.

Have a good Wednesday, all downhill now to the weekend. :)

    Hello all,

MFW 151 reporting for duty after falling off the wagon somewhat during a week away. It was sunny though, which was definitely worth it.

So far in July I've OPd £650; but that will probably be it this month :D

Interest rate fix ends in 25 days and counting...
    Debt free as of 01/06/13
MFW: Mortgage when started: £205,000 Mortgage 21/11/13 £202,608 Offset target 2014: £5088/£12000 Planned payoff date: August 2026 LTV: 86.3% Daily interest: £21.55

    Hi All,

Well done coldcazzie, all updated for you.

Wow Maybe_its_because, another house! Really pleased that your OPs this year helped so much for your BTL purchase. Hope you can rejoin us later once you've done all your calculations. Good luck with the BTL venture.

Oooh, sunshine cardiffmatch, now what exactly is that?!?!? Your excellent OP is updated, well done.

From the googledoc, you're very welcome Hannahnightmare, glad the thread is helping you. Your OP is all updated too.

    See you later,

Ah yes, accidental house purchases. Very easy to do. One minute you're browsing rightmove, then you find something that MUST be priced wrong, then you find it isn't and before you know it......... oops :o. Other people impulse buy shoes, but I say if you're going to overspend then do it in style :D. That was my defence last year when we did it :rotfl:. Hope it works out ok for you :).
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
    :) Mortgage Balance = £0 :)

  • Number 132 checking in!

Upped my standard payment, so my automatic overpayment is now £161.01.

    Total = 513.17, 17.11%.

Let's see if I can afford any more - although with our addition due in less than 2 weeks its not very likley ...... 1st day off work today, so the next few days will be full of buying nappies etc and packing my bag! :)

    Good luck everyone!
