Are you using a mortgage calculator Lighthouse? The one I use shows me what the minimum standard payment is. It gave me a good idea of how much my standard payment was going to go down - was accurate to around £1

    @lighthousescotland

Accord tried to decrease our monthly payment this year too. I simply phoned up and asked for it to be kept the same. In my case it was only £10 and a couple of pence as we're less than 2 years into our mortgage, but it's a pain free OP as far as I'm concerned :)

Equally, I get an automatic payrise each September as I am moving up a payspine. So every September we have reviewed and increased how much we OP each month. My rise in wages is money we never had before, so we work on the principal that we won't miss it. Fortunately there is still enough leeway in our monthly budget that we can afford to do this, despite the cost of everything going through the roof at the moment

    Hi Folks,

I've been very busy this week and so been a bit tardy in updating, apologies. :o

All updated for you saver03, I hope you have a good break away.

I'm glad curlygirl was around to answer your question lighthousescotland. I have to agree with everyone that it's a really painless way of OPing if you keep the monthly amount the same.

You're most welcome elantan, I'm just glad to help. Your latest OP has been added for April.

Great stats there pavlovs_dog, all updated for you too.

I'll be around for a short while in the morning but then will be away with work overnight. So if you see I haven't updated your amounts don't worry, I'll do them on Friday evening or Saturday morning.

    Take care,
    Spigs

    Hello

Made another OP of 64.23 today. This was made up from £3.58 Chocolate Tax, £12.00 Bills account surplus, £48.65 adjusment due to the lowering of my Standard Monthly Payment (SVR adjustment)

I quite like being able to make small ad-hoc OP's - it's addictive. Previously the Halifax system was quite restrictive but since it's migrated to the Lloyds system I'm able to go in and change the date and £ of the Standing Order really easily. How exciting

So that now makes a total of £1267.23 OP'd during April. Some of that is 'forward' paid from May and looking ahead at my forecast figures for May, at the present, I can't see where I'm going to get any additional OP money from. Am sure this will change though.

Would you be so kind Spiggle and add it for me - round it down if you need whole pounds.

    Have a great weekend everyone.

    No 54....

A little extra payment of £50 for me today. If you could add it to the spreadsheet I'd be most pleased :)
