    Hey Miss Tops

Welcome back after your quiet and relaxing weekend :). I'm currently in bed knitting...........I was hoping to go to the Lido today but my body refused as it has had enough.

I understand the imploading feeling as I get caring fatigue if I don't get enough time off. It usually starts with the appearance of a patient with pyjama syndrome  (for example a youngish patient who arrives at the hospital with an injured finger, changes into a hospital gown and as a consequence immediately loses the use of their other healthy limbs and demands to be pushed around in a wheelchair as they can no longer think they should do anything for themselves!)

Fab news about the olympic ticket :T which event (s) are you going to see?

The NSD seem to be going really well as well

In bed knitting just sound so lovely and indulgent, in the nicest way. I felt quite jealous when I read that! :D

Caring fatigue is a great term, although not a great feeling :o. I can empathise with the frustration of how people get once that hospital gown goes on. It's like the opposite of a bat cape! All human power leaves the body and even their faces seem to change. I've seen it happen in A&E a few times.

The event is ....... handball! I have to confess I didn't really know what it was to start with, but I've been assured by my colleagues that it isn't a completely bottom of the barrel sport to watch and can be quite exciting! I've looked it up on the internet and like what I've seen enough to maintain the excitement.

I hope your body is feeling a little more lively now.

    Thank you.

The tickets were a really nice surprise, even better when I found out he's treating me. I hope it's a nice warm day when we go.

I'll catch up with your diary in a second. I hope all is going well with you. x

I managed to completely avoid the rain and storms I've been told about, but a few roads near me are flooded. I was going to cycle home tonight, but it's lucky I didn't as I'd still be wading home now!

I did have a panic and realise my car needs to be MOT'd by Saturday! I have a few busy evenings coming up so luckily I've managed to book it in and it's in the garage now. I'll pick it up tomorrow evening. As it's the end of the month I have no budget for this, but my unexpected income account offered to help me out and loan me the money so I'm feeling really chuffed that I have that to fall back on.

A invited me out to lunch today to my favourite restaurant. I thought that was really lovely and we had a great time! But their card machine was broken and he doesn't carry cash, whereas I carry my budget so I ended up having to pay! He says he'll pay me back, but I'm just not comfortable asking for it! I'm also planning on really pulling things back to being just friends again as I'm not sure this is right for me so I think I need to write that lunch off! I really do like him and we're such good fun together, but he has this need to remark on absolutely every attractive girl he sees and my self esteem just isn't equipped to handle it very well. I don't react with him, I just seem to internally hone in on my flaws and that's not healthy and can be quite painful! If he's willing to do that when I'm there I'm worried about what he does when I'm not, so ........

Just a few more days until I get paid! Wooh! I don't have anything I need the money for, but I'm itching to see some debts decline and the start of my default debt savings grow. I get a bit nervous when I see my budget account down to almost nothing and £20 in my current account! :D

Well, I've got a few things to post onto ebay tonight and some diaries to catch up on so I'll get that done shortly, then a little housework and washing up and then an early night for me. I've had very itchy eyes today which has made me feel really tired.

I hope no one else got caught in the storms today!

Pay day was a welcome sight! I think I now need to work on having a little more buffer money at the end of the month because although I have sufficient for normal day to day goings on, I don't have an emergency fund. Although I'm still not sure I can be trusted with a decent surplus at the end of the month. Something to work on!

The week has gone by quite eventfully. It's my boss' birthday today and I've managed quite a bit of effort in arranging a birthday meal for him with the team last night, sorting out a card, collection and pressies for him and today I've brought in celebration stuff and we've all managed to decorate his room and I lugged in a huge chocolate birthday cake. My Mum makes them so I've brought in a few over the years and he seems to love it, so now he has his own! All that arranging has kept me quite busy!

I also did have that chat with A about pulling back and being just friends again. The chat itself went really well but deteriorated quite badly, on my part, throughout the day. I don't think maintaining such a high level of communication after I'd ended things was the best thing for me to do!!!! But it did actually bring things to a head and I was more open about the issues I have and he now seems to be making an amazing effort to make me happy. We are still only friends now but he's asked to see me next week to talk which I've agreed to.

Things on ebay aren't flying out like they were before although I'm hoping that's because it was the end of the month and people weren't splashing out on unnecessaries! This weekend is a definite free listing(?) so I'll spend a while putting a lot on there again this weekend.

Other than a lovely day out tomorrow with my closest friend, which I'm really excited about, I don't have much planned for the other 3 days. Most of me wants to stay home and carry on the clearing but another part is pushing me to just get in the car and drive to somewhere like Wales as I've never been and it's a good opportunity for an ad hoc trip away. But the trip could end up costing quite a bit and that's what is holding me back. I'll figure it out. An ad hoc trip can easily be decided on an hour before I head off.

Well, happy Friday everyone and I hope you all have a fantastic Jubilee Long Weekend.

Hi Muffy, I hadn't realised I'd not dropped in for ages! So sorry... work you know, plus DS2 needs the computer for revision. Anyway, I've really enjoyed catching up. Well done on getting such a good price for the jewellery! And knowing your own mind about your relationship. He does sound really good company but you need to be happy with how it's going and clearly things weren't quite right for you.

I'm very impressed with your ebaying as ever. :) You have a way with words on here and it seems it spills over to sales patter too. ;) I think there are extra free listing days this weekend, aren't there? But don't disappear into your computer all weekend, take some time for yourself. :)

    Hello DF,
I'm getting happier about things with A now, although I'll give a proper update on that. It's reassuring that you agree with me though as I do often think I over react to things based on past experiences. I don't want others to pay for my past, but I also don't want to accept bad behaviour and, unfortunatel, I'm not great at separating the two.

Wooh to ebaying. How is that going? I find that I like to have around 10 things up at any one time as that's manageable for me.

I hope you had a lovely long weekend too x

    Hello Miggy,
I've been keeping up to date on your diary so can see how busy you've been recently, so it's just nice to have you pop in when you can. x

Thank you for saying I have a way with words, I really appreciate that. There were extra free listing days this weekend which I've made the most of. I've put a few larger items up, but they're collection only which limits me a little.

I hope you've had a great weekend and managing to get some rota time on the laptop.

The long weekend was a bit of a mismatch of things really. But overall it was lovely although I didn't mind that it finished. Saturday I went to visit my friend who moved recently. It's the second time I've met her boyfriend too and he just seems really good for her. The 3 of us went out and explored the new place, and we also visited the castle down the road from their house! They also have a dog so I had lots of fuss time with her. I adore dogs, but because I live alone and am out of the house a lot it's not fair to have one. While we were wandering around I did think that it would top the day off if A had been there! Scary though that thought is!

Things with A have drastically improved. He's so attentive and considerate right now and I'm definitely falling for it! :o We've been in constant contact this weekend and he phoned me yesterday morning for a couple of hours. Although we didn't talk about anything changing between us he did seem to need reassurance that he's doing the right thing with me with this nicer attention - which he got. But we are still just friends. We've arranged to meet tomorrow and over the weekend and I'll see what happens then, if anything.

This week shouldn't be too busy. Tomorrow is my only busy day as I'm meeting my old boss for lunch, having a coffee with A as my work day ends and then I have a work event to go to which my boss has arranged to celebrate his birthday. A did offer to come with me, but I don't think that's a good idea right now.

Once again, at the beginning of the month, so much leaves my account in one go that I find it hard to keep my finance app synchronised. So I'll pop into the bank either today or tomorrow to get my print out. I'm planning on cycling home tonight to get back into that and to save money on fares and get out of this lazy rut. Some of the diaries I read are putting me to shame! Which I'm grateful for, as I need all the encouragement I can get right now. :D

I love this Monday feeling actually being Wednesday! Working a 3 day week is fantastic. Once my mortgage is clear maybe I'll treat myself to new hours! ;)

I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend x
