    Hey,

I'm glad you're feeling better now, and pleased you and your friend had a nice time - I remember when you last posted about your shopping trip. Good to get the focus off how much money we don't have!!!

Good luck with the month ahead money wise, I enjoy pay days to plan the month ahead and budget now rather than go out and blindly spend!

It was a much better trip than that last one. Thank you.

I always used to wait for pay day and then have a massive binge, but those days are over. I do put aside a little extra allowance as a catch up for toiletries and laundry tablets etc and that feeds my urge.

I also read that you keep a diary of your daily spends which I think is a great idea.

I have been onto my bank account this morning and paid some bills. I think that at the beginning of the month I'm better off getting a print out so that it's easier to go through what's happened as on the 1st and 2nd of the month there are a lot of updates.

I was going to pop to the bank last night and go through some bits but I had a text from my Mum saying she'd been taken into hospital so I rushed home and went up to see her. Initially they were saying that she may have a clot on her lung, which would be fine as they can get rid of it easily, but now they want to do lots more tests and not saying why so I'm feeling quite concerned. I'm not one for panicking blindly though so I'll just wait and see what happens and what we're told. No point in worrying about thin air.

I've updated my sig with my new default debt now another £150 has gone to it. It's in the THREE thousands!!! It's still a huge amount of money, but keeping a track of it depleting is fantastic. Really exciting.

I have just sold an item on amazon so I'll get that sent out first thing tomorrow and see if I get time to put anything on ebay this evening.

So today is going to be quite uneventful other than going to work and then to the hospital if my Mum is kept in again.

Happy May everyone and have a great Tuesday. x
  • Muffin,

Hope your Mum is ok, keeping my fingers crossed for positive test results.

Well done on your default debt, itl be gone in no time at all!

I hope there's good news about your Mum soon. Better they do lots of tests and are sure she's getting the right treatment than send her home and miss something - but it's scary for both of you while they're doing it.

Great news about the debt reduction - you're doing a very good job there!

Thanks Miggy. I'm taking tomorrow off now to visit her as I'm not getting any solid information from her. She never seems to retain what the Dr's tell her and as her MRI is booked for tomorrow I can spend some time with her, be there for the MRI and ask the Dr's all the questions I'd like answered, if they can. Then the fear will go. It's the unknown that's bothering me as it all seems very elaborate for a suspected clot. I'd have thought the normal x-rays and blood tests would have confirmed enough. But, I'll find out either tonight when I visit or tomorrow when the Dr arrives.

Seeing that debt reduce from the 4's to the 3's has really made me feel like I'm doing ok. Plus, I have some good news that I'm about to update and report! :T x

I've just had a call from Natwest and my business bank account has been approved. I didn't actually need a foundation one, they've approved me their standard business bank account I believe. I'll find out for definite when the pack comes through, but they've given me the bank account number and sort code so I'm on my way!

Next step is to get the advertising sorted, but all of my "unexpected income" is ear marked for that so I have a very healthy advertising budget. I'll transfer that into the business account first that as it's a business expense and all needs to be kept tidy and in the correct order.

It's felt like one trial after another recently and although things aren't instantly perfect, this is such a huge weight off my mind which is also the start of a very exciting enterprise for me. Celebrations are required! Definitely!!!! :j

    Hello macpumpkin,
Ooh, you certainly live up to your name judging by the pumpkin pie. The creme anglaise was a great touch. I am feeling very posh and business like now :D.

The hospital staff were wonderful with my Mum. She's not a demanding patient, but even so, she was still given above and beyond from the nurses. Under better circumstances it could have been compared to a little break away!
