Other than friday evening my weekend has been quite uneventful.
Friday night was really nice. We just went for some drinks so we could chat. He was a perfect gent all evening, which kept me fairly calm, although I did talk way too much! Apparently that was seen as "sweet and entertaining" which isn't the impression I was hoping for!I have mentioned him before. He's the partner I've been to lunch with a couple of times. We've been friendly for about 4 years now, and have been out to lunch a fair few times, but he's just started being quite flirty recently. I think that he likes to see himself as a bit of a player though which is what I meant by different wavelengths. I told him I'm not interested in a fling so there's some confusion as to why he was still pursuing me after that and also why he was so attentive and well behaved on Friday evening. Although I've not heard from him since I got home on Friday so maybe he's given me up as a bad investment now! My insecurities have been running riot all weekend!
So, other than that update there's not much else to mention. I get paid on Friday and I'm actually looking forward to getting in my credit card bill as this will be my last payment and it should show a remarkably low balance after paying so much of it this month.
I have a couple of things to look forward to this week. I'm meeting my frugal understanding friend on Tuesday evening for a quick drink. On Thursday I have a voucher deal hair colour and cut up in town. The weather is meant to be great too so I'll be on the bike more. I can't spend anything on non essentials though. I've got to get back into spending a lot less than I currently am.
I hope everyone is having a great weekend. x0 -

Thanks for the reassurance. I think I'll keep with the birthday coffees now.
I'm still waiting for the budgeting to be a more natural process.0 -

Sadly, I've not had a great deal of attention recently and he is very charming so it's nice getting attention. I just don't think it's a lasting thing so I'll make the most of it while/if it lasts I think!0 -

Ha ha, sorry for not logging on earlier. I needed time to digest!I really am amazingly bad at anything with a romantic twist though. I had a lovely evening and am happy enough with that. x

Spring has definitely sprung now! After my ride home I had a quick shower and then some food outside with a drink. Admittedly it was so cold I needed 3 layers, BUT, it looked lovely out, and that's the important part really!
Having come home and not been so cold I've magnated to any warmth has meant that I'm in "getting things done" mode again. So I've sorted a few more ebay and amazon items out and am about to update my spreadsheet based on a couple of bills I've had in.
Ooh yes. One of those bills was my CC bill! It's at £197.08 so that will be paid off on Friday. I keep to and froing about whether to phone them and let them know it's a full and final or whether to just pay it off based on what they say I owe. It's in default and the card is long gone so there's no worries that I'd get over excited with a zero balance and notch it back up, but I just think the right thing to do is phone them. Yes, that's the answer!
No updates on the friday date I'm afraid. We've been chatting today but he's very distant now. It's not my freaky paranoid head - honestly. He could just be very busy or have things going on, but as he's been so attentive and so keen for the past few weeks it was a noticeable difference. He loaned me a couple of items last week which he's asked to be returned tomorrow so that's either a cut all ties and give up or it's an excuse to see me. We'll see! I'm thinking it's a way of cutting ties to be honest as he has no problem asking to see me.
I had my council tax bill in today which was £150 more than I expected. But I've jiggled and poked around in the spreadsheet earlier and so that's looking good again.
I'm also trying REALLY hard to trust my instincts on this 3rd month and not constantly check my bank balance that only what is expected is coming out. There are always chances that I'll forget something, but it was getting obsessive. Although now I'm writing that I don't think checking my bank balance each day is obsessive. It actually sounds silly not to! OK, I think I'll check it in minute just to be sure.
I'm a bit hyperactive tonight. I think it's all that fresh air! The ride home was amazing. I just pootled along enjoying the bike ride rather than seeing it as my commute home. I almost stopped at a park I've never noticed before. I have cycled this way for almost 4 years now and never noticed a massive great park!!!! I also spotted a "new" canal too! Blinkered!!!!
Right, I'd best make the most of this nervous energy and have a sort out for ebay offerings before I crash and sleep!0 -
I agree, either it was an excuse to see you, or he isnt interested. If he isnt interested then he may have been put off by you not wanting a fling, in which case you know he was after one thing, so you may have had a lucky escape.
Or he could be interested but be freaking out now he knows how you feel.
Im insanely shy when it comes to the start of relationships, but Im ok at the flirty stage before anything kicks off. Ive been told before they thought I suddenly turned quite cold before eventually letting my guard down. In reality it was me not knowing what to say, being scared of saying the wrong thing and just generally thinking about things way too much.
I understand re checking bank balance, I do daily too, not because I dont trust my workings out, but I cant control 3rd party or Bank mistakes. Ive had bills go out early, money due in late the slightest error causes chaos in my mind so I like to know where I am.
I can feel the energy coming from your post, its brilliant, make the most of it! You will sleep well tonight!

I think checking your bank balance once a day is okay and could well be what financially savvy people do - I wouldn't know.
Well, I'm glad your evening went well. Not sure what to make of the change in attitude though, DF2015 could be right. I suppose time will tell.
Loving the new scenery popping up all over the place! It's like daffodils, you know. It goes dormant for a while then suddenly reappears and is very noticeable.Miggy
