Sometimes you need to be spontaneous. Some of the best times I have ever had have been when friends have gone out WITHOUT a plan!

That's the same for me too. I'm not often particularly spontaneous these days, but he is one person who really seems to "get me" so I value all the time I spend with him.

glad you had a good night, its a nice feeling when you dont want something to end, also you dont get that low that you may get when you didnt really feel up to it, or got pushed into spending more etc.

    Enjoy your weekend xx

I hadn't thought of it that way. The low I often get with other friends who make me feel a bit pressured just doesn't happen with him. He's also very thrifty which I think is why he suggested sharing. He forgot I don't eat meat though so we had our own food in the end. But for an overspend of £2 I felt much more in control of my spending.:D

It's been quite a nice weekend. I went out for the day on Saturday and knowing I wasn't going anywhere today I put forward the 2 days budget. I came in well within that due to being organised.

Today I've had a day at home which has been lazier than I wanted it to be! Gulp! But, one of my items has sold on ebay so I'm about to package that up. It's the only thing on there that wasn't mine so no cash flowing my way, but that's ok. I've never sold anything in a standard way before so it was nice to get the experience.

I'm putting a few more things up for next week to start at 99p as I really enjoyed checking the status of my items for sale through the week.

Well, next week I'm away for the weekend and I'm really looking forward to that. I've also booked the week after off as I really need to get myself organised and I'd just like a break from work too. Nothing much planned although it will be my first Time Off Test with the budget. I'm pretty confident I'll be ok that week though.

Next week will be another cycling week. Although I have to get the train Weds and Thurs I'm hoping to cycle both ways on Friday. My weightloss isn't going great, and I need motivation there. It's easier now my mind seems more focussed, but I still need that kick to really get me commited. My week off may help though and my appetite is definitely shrinking after reducing my intake, so I'm still moving in the right direction. Commitment is the next stage for the proper results I feel.

Well, I need to put a few more things up for sale, get some washing up done and get the bins out! The glamorous life of an MSE eh? I hope all are having a great weekend. I think I'll read some diaries before sorting the above out! What was that about commitment???

Just checked my ebay additions and there's already a bid on one of my items. 2 others have watchers, although I don't take that to mean anything. Just fun to watch their progress.

Next week I need to put lots more books and things up for sale online too.

This morning I've brought lunch in so that should create an NSD today. I even brought breakfast in, which has just been demolished. This cold weather really makes me hungry.

Bank account is doing as expected, so that's all good too. Just got to get through this last week at work and then it's my birthday weekend away and I'm off next week! The weather is also meant to be picking up as the week goes on so what a bonus! Wooh! Bring it on!!!

Ooh, and I've now progressed to 2 stars!!!! It's all going on this week.

I've been feeling today like I can get a bit caught up with talking about my plans without actually doing very much. Some diaries I read are just full to the brim of really organised and industrial people doing lots of things and then using their diary to update and those are the diaries I love to read. So, as the next stage/phase of my attitude change I have decided that as I admire those people so much and find them so motivating and inspirational I should take a couple of leaves out of their book and just DO!

So, tonight when I got in I bagged up a large bin bag full of Cash 4 Clothes items with my old tatty clothes and trainers. I've checked an old DVD recorder still works to go to cash converts and have added another 3 items onto eBay. It would have been more for eBay but due to the lack of natural sunlight the other items were dark and the pictures just look grainy, so they're in the Selling box ready for pictures on Monday.

I've also been through my cycling drawer, the one that is so full that the base of the drawer has broken! I have 18 pairs of cycle shorts!!!! How many bottoms and legs do I think I have? Perhaps I'm under the assumption that I'm the Queen and need to constantly change outfits? So I have chosen 5 pairs and have stored the rest. There's no point selling those as I do cycle enough that they can wear out so the spares are in a vacuum bag and will be tucked away under my bed. Knowing I have spares tucked away will stop me buying any more. Next to sort out will be the cycle tops I have as I know I have a ridiculous amount of those! I am obsessed with cycle outfits! Particularly novelty items!

I've also cooked my dinner, washed up and prepared my lunch for tomorrow so another NSD is coming on. Today was also an NSD and I'm fairly sure the rest of the week can be. Friday I may need to spend as the small group I work in have decided to go for a lunchtime drink. But other than that, not a lot should require my money. The more I can put aside for this weekend the better.

I was also given another new project at work to head today! That's 4 I have going and I can feel the culture shock of suddenly being really busy again! I cleared my desk off before I left today so I'll attack it all with a new energy tomorrow and get my projects all in control and up to date and that will leave me some time to do some actual real work too!

Hmmm - I'm liking how this feels! Hopefully I'll have regained good control of all areas of my life soon as this MSE thing has a great ripple effect on the rest of my bad ways!

Right, I'm off to catch up on last week's episode of The Hotel and to drink my body weight in fruit squash!

I hope some of this activity and productivity rubs off on me! Also could you have a word with my DD please and explain to her that when there is no room for any more clothes, is not the time to buy more? :D

I'm not a cyclist but I go through phases with small items of clothing - so there are too many cute socks, too many snuggly gloves and too many pretty scarves. Of course these are relatively cheap to buy but instead of getting even more, I need to get my act together, lose 1.5 stone and buy some nice main items of clothing. :o

I've made a list of things to give up for Lent, which I don't usually do, so I'm hoping that will get me into better habits.Wish I knew why I always stop short of being the weight I think I want to be...

    Good Morning Muffy :)

I love reading your diary, you sound so full of energy and motivation. I need some of that to rub off on me, I feel like I have just been plodding on lately :o

I hope you have a fantastic weekend when you go away this weekend and a lovely week off work :) Sometimes just not having to go to work is the best kind of holiday.

And, you are an ebay fiend at the moment. Hope they sell well for you. :)

You are doing so well, pass some of that energy my way will you???

    Have a great day x

You always come across motivated on here, but that last post was amazing!

I have fond memories of my work desk, it was always cluttered with things to do, but when I blitzed it all, it gave me a real push the next day, as though it renewed my energy.

Good luck with your project x

Ahh, I remember being like your DD with a whole wardrobe full of clothes and still constantly shopping! I loved those days!

Yes, those cheap but cute items really do stack up. Going through my clothes is like walking into a shop with all the things I've stored away that I've forgotten about. All ready for when I lose weight and they fit me!!! Ha ha! I'm like you in stopping a diet when I see the end in sight! I think that's where "the last 10 pounds" issues come from.

Thank you for the virtual ounce of determination. I've stored it safely in a little box to access when required! :D
