How wonderful to be finding little gaps around the house... I will take that as inspiration that it can be done!

And well done for organising all the financial documentation. :)

Thanks Miggy. The gaps feel great. In the past I'd normally fill them up with more junk, but that's not going to be possible now I don't buy junk!!!! :D I think I've lived in a chaotic state (in so many areas) for too long now and pushing through that feels great.

    Sounds like a good weekend.

Wow 17 miles  I think my legs would fall off after 2 miles Im so unfit! Well done you!! Good luck if you start up again this week x

Makes sense to put it on the mortgage if your other debt is interest free. It will go down so quickly, you'll save so much interest

I need to get motivated with ebay again, my ebay drawer is over flowing, I just keep looking at it and putting it off....I have no excuse just complete laziness:)

Oh, it's really nothing to be too impressed with as I can't go at any decent speed for very long due to traffic lights and roundabouts etc. I think anyone can cycle all day slowly, which is all I do really.

I found it difficult getting motivated for ebaying. I still have a lot of stuff to go on there, but they're all 99p starts so are free listing anytime. This has made me lazy. I've vowed to put more things up this weekend. I've only got 1 watcher on all the items I put on at the weekend though but think I put them on for what I want, not giving any bid wiggle room.

Well, I've finally completely updated my iPhone app again. Getting into the habit of adding my expenditure onto that each day is slow progress, but it does help me focus on what money is going where, even down to the daily £10 budget.

Nothing much is happening on my ebay items. I should have put them on for much less than I wanted, but you live and learn. I think I can relist for free, so if I can amend the pricing as well I'll do that. More things need to be put up this weekend with the 99p starting fee. I am enjoying having a look and seeing if there are any bids or more watchers, so I'll try to use that as my motivation.

I ordered a cheap voucher for getting my hair highlighted at the beginning of the month. It only cost £23 for a top salon half head highlights, wash, cut and blowdry and when I tried to book it they're maxed out until the end of May! Eek! I wanted to use that as a birthday treat as I've set my heart on highlights and a specific cut! I'm not sure what to do now but I've not had my hair cut in about 6 months and the colour I have isn't right for my skin tone. I have some time to think about that. I know some salons near me offer a half price colour and cut for your first visit so that may be an option.

I've had another NSD yesterday. I thought it would be a spendy day as I was going out for lunch with one of the guys at work to my favourite restaurant near where I work, but he paid so that's a free day for me. We have a lovely fish and chip shop near here, a proper authentic one and his eyes lit up when I told him about it so I'll see if he'll let me take him there next week or the week after. I haven't had lunch with him in a long time and I forgot how much I enjoy his company so I don't want them to drift off again like they did!

Today could be another NSD if I'm lucky. I'm meant to be going out this evening, but I forgot my gym kit and as the guy I'm going with doesn't like me exercising in just my knickers (apparently it embarrasses him!!) we'll either go for a quick coffee and catch up or he'll go to the gym tonight and we'll rearrange our meet up. I don't mind either way as it's my mistake, but it would be lovely to see him.

No other plans this week yet, but I've been quite poorly the last few days with a stomach bug or having eaten something so I'm not up for anything too lively to be honest. No cycling either this week so my hope of doing a 2 way trip hasn't even become a 1 way trip. But it's still something I want to do, so I'll cycle home tomorrow and then see what next week brings.

    Have a great day! x

It's a great little authentic restaurant probably not too far for you for the odd lunch. You get huge portions too. I can pm you the name and address of it if you like?

We've also been known to jump on the bus to the fairly local pie and mash shop near here. I can't do that anymore as I don't eat meat but it was lovely!

I thought yesterday was going to be a good low spend day, but it didn't turn out that way. I ended up with an overspend of £2! But, it was one of those nights I didn't want to end so when my friend suggested we grab some food and share a bowl of noodles I was more than up for it. Today I feel really pleased I did that, as I need to spend today too, so I've taken the extra £2 out of today's budget and so I have a daily amount of £8. So, I feel really pleased that a sudden decision last night was still fine and I had a great evening too! £12 well spent!

I've checked my bank and that's all clean and tidy. Future transactions are just showing a credit from Amazon for my sellers earnings. I've also checked ebay and one of the items I have up for sale has a bid, so I know that will sell now. Ironically it's the one item I put on for my Mum, so I won't be seeing any of that money, but it's nice to see it'll be sold soon. I'll wrap and package it up this evening so she can just put the label on and post it Monday morning as the auction ends on Sunday evening.

The other items I have all have 1 watcher each except one that has nothing going on! Yesterday it had 2 watchers who have both disappeared so I'm assuming I've overpriced my item. That's easily remedied after this auction though.

In other news, I'm so glad it's Friday. The week has flown by, but it's not felt like a particularly good one. I've not had a great deal of energy this week, but that's slowly improving so onwards and upwards.

I do this if I know I'm not spending the next day, it works out within budget overall so I figure its OK!

Sometimes you need to be spontaneous. Some of the best times I have ever had have been when friends have gone out WITHOUT a plan!

  • glad you had a good night, its a nice feeling when you dont want something to end, also you dont get that low that you may get when you didnt really feel up to it, or got pushed into spending more etc.

    Enjoy your weekend xx
