Oh! Plus, I lost 4lb last week! (water weight I know, but it's still off me).

Hi Toots,
Thanks for subscribing. It's always nice to hear from other people.
Today is going to be very uneventful - in a good way. The bank account has been checked, and that's all clean (a bit cleaner than I was expecting so we'll see what happens there as the month goes on) and there are no bills or anything coming out for a few weeks now.
No NSD's will happen this week based on outings planned, but next week will be a good NSD week hopefully.
I had lunch out yesterday. As we had a 2 for 1 voucher we ended up sharing a starter, having our own main course and dessert with soft drinks for £15 each including tip. YAY! I have overspent on a few days this week and am not on the £10 a day budget, but I don't need anything now until Saturday and then I'll have caught up on my budget days.
Right. I need a coffee kickstart to warm my bones back up so will be wandering to the work's kitchen armed with my little cup brought in from home for the free nasty coffee they supply here. To be fair the non decaf is fine. The decaf tastes like it's been decaffed in washing up liquid.
Hopefully everyone will have a lovely crisp wintery day.0 -
I seem to have gone a bit off track this week. I thought I was doing reasonably well, but looking back I've fallen off the diet a couple of days and I overspent to the point that I have just £1.80 in my purse for today. This then gets me back on track to the £10 a day from tomorrow.
I'm out for the day tomorrow so will be spending a little bit, but I have sort of earmarked those spends for things I really need. There's a pretty big food market and I'll top up on fresh fruits and any salad or veg items I need which won't save me money but will ensure I get a lot more for the money I spend. Other than that there isn't much I need. I don't want to overspend again as it's not been a great feeling trying to stretch 1 or 2 day's budget through the week!
So I need to get myself better organised. I'm a real list person, but I haven't really been maintaining that much recently either! Hmmm! Some things to work on.
Right. I'm off to find a jumper. Even in work with the heaters on it's still pretty freezing!0 -

Lists are my good friends muffin, I go way off track without them...no issue writing them, I just loose them as soon as I step out the front door!
Enjoy your day out tomorrow x40 to go0 -

Enjoy your day out tomorrow x
I found a notepad that "feels right" at the weekend so I'll be using that for my list making to hopefully keep me on track.0 -
My weekend was really nice, but I'm not feeling particularly MSE at the moment. I really struggled to stay within budget and after I'd bought my fruit for the week and a coffee for us both (she bought lunch) my whole budget was gone! I didn't really see much that I would have liked, but I just had that feeling of "don't look around, you've spent your lot now". It doesn't help that all of my friends are still credit card junkies and just buy whatever they see and want, and I know they'll suffer in the long run and I'll have my day, but I just felt a bit low.
I'm also a little frustrated that I'm not at the stage of hitting the mortgage as I still have the CC to pay. I think the CC feels like "empty" payments whereas the mortgage feels more of a worthwhile mission. I'm obviously just having one of those phases which I need to snap out of!
On a more positive note, I did stick to my budget this week and I do have enough fruit to last me a while. I froze a lot of it yesterday as it's mainly for smoothies which take ages from fresh if I have to cut things up and peel them etc. I think that by putting them in the freezer (cleaned, cut and soaking in lemon water) they'll last longer and I've put them in all ready made for the blender. I did forget to take one out of the freezer last night so I've set a reminder to go off this evening to pop one from the freezer into the fridge overnight ready to blend with some greens first thing.
It could turn out to be a NSD today too, which would be nice. I've not withdrawn my weekly budget yet as I didn't want to venture out into the snow and slush after spending over an hour clearing my front and back driveway. I was shattered and then felt too lazy to go out!
Tonight I need to finish filling in my food diary and get that sent off in the morning as I think there's a little incentive to send it back within a week of completion.
Well, I'm off to give myself a good talking to, or maybe just find a little nook somewhere to curl up and sleep in! Wake me when it's warm outside!!!0 -
Hope you feel better soon muffin, the low days do come unfortunately, but it makes you realise that the good days outweigh the bad, as the bad days are getting further and further apart on our journeys.
Hope tomorrow is better for you xx40 to go0
