Working in holistic therapies sounds good, you could build it up on the side, of your main job, you may build up enough to do it full time - nothing wrong with advertising for women only minimise the risk, or if you dont want to rule men out completely, just tell them you are fully booked until you feel ready.
I havent been online for a few days, was shocked at how much I had to catch up on, well done! :T
I will need to seriously think about a second income. I do have a part time business about to go live, so maybe it's best I wait and see what happens there with holistic therapy to fall back on.
I'll pop along and catch up on your diary shortly.0 -

Well done on selling the board game. £35 is an amazing amount of money to get. :T
I haven't done 15 minutes of anything yet, apart from sit on my bottomWhy am I so lethargic at the moment, it's not like me and I don't like it
And I'll go up in your loft for you if your paying cold hard cash, I'll beat all the other offers and do it for a tenner :rotfl: I have no shame :rotfl:
The board game is a little specialised, which is why it went for so much. When I first put it up for sale I thought it would get about £7 or so! I'm so chuffed to get that amount.
15 minutes of sitting on your bottoms sounds like it's been hugely required I think.
£10 to sort out my loft! You're on.

Good morning!
Well, I haven't made an update recently as I've had a migraine and I'm barely able to string 2 sentences together when that happens.
On Wednesday evening I phoned the phone network for my Mum and reduced her monthly tarriff from £36pm to £13.50pm. I'm so chuffed with that outcome - as is she.
That was about all I had in me and then went to bed incredibly early and wasn't around much yesterday either. Today is a fresh day and I'm feeling much better. So, I've decided not to try to catch up on things and will just give myself a new list of things to get done over the weekend.
Tomorrow I have a cabinet being delivered, which I'm hoping will be in the morning. But I've kept the whole weekend clear as it's the end of the month and money is tight, plus I just want a stay at home and organise things type of weekend.
So, my list of jobs to get through are:
1. Read through food diary in preparation of Monday's start.
2. The bag of bills I have hidden in the dining room needs dealing with. There are no nasty surprises in there as I'm up to date with my bills. so most of it can be shredded and removed.
3. Dig out information needed for any PPI claims.
4. Update iPhone finance app.
5. Book the hotel.
6. Organise the cabinet (rather than wait a while only to find I've thrown things in there to get them out the way and there's no more room!)
7. Take more photos of ebay fodder and add the 99p start items.
8. Usual weekend things (housework, shop and scan, food shopping)
The board game is on its way Special Delivery. I went a bit mad packaging it up, but I wanted it to arrive in pristine condition and I believe it will now. The poor person buying it will wonder what's going on with all the bubble wrap and screwed up newspaper inside the huge box.
The bank account is still playing ball. It's amazing to have money at the end of the month and no email stating what charges will come out and when. I've also played around a little more with my spreadsheet as I really want to knock a dent in the cc bill this month.0 -

Well this weekend has been quite productive, although I didn't complete everything I hoped to. My cabinet arrived early on Saturday and luckily I remembered late on Friday that I needed to pay the delivery charge of £25! So, that was my weekend daily budget blown, but very worth it as the cabinet looks lovely and has stopped my hallway looking so lifeless and bare.
So, I've managed to organise the cabinet with a place for the bits and pieces I don't have a place for. Things like guarantees, monthly bills, receipts I need to keep etc. There's a lot of space still to fill but it's so nice getting all that stuff cleared away properly.
I've been through the bag of bills and there were no nasty surprises. I did find some things I need to check out next week as I think I may have paid one bill twice, but a summary look on my bank account should clear that up.
I haven't found all the information I need for PPI claims but it's in the house somewhere so I'll keep digging through this week.
All normal housework things were sorted and I made myself a few green smoothies as this is the best way for me to get my fruit and salad. They're quite filling and are also making me feel a bit more energised already so I'm hoping I'm onto something here.
I've not put anything on ebay yet as I got so wrapped up in finding financial documents and sorting out the cabinet. Honestly, the places I've used to hide bills is embarrassing. Looking back at my financial letters from 2006 and 2007 was pretty difficult. I don't know how I pulled myself out of that mess, but I do remember waking most mornings at 2am in such a panic so I think that must have spurred me on to pushing myself out of those depths. I'd never felt so desperate! I pretty much lived off the things I sold online during those days, and I got myself an evening job too so that my main income and that extra income could go straight onto debts. It was such a difficult time and my main work suffered really badly too. Anyway, I'm going on!!!!
I've got a training course at work tomorrow so lunch and refreshments will be provided so it should be a NSD. I get paid on Tuesday (although this is no longer an event as I don't have a pay day splurge anymore). This journey is quite calming.0 -
I get paid tomorrow and have just checked my bank account and it's still in credit by £21.43!!! That's such an acheivement for me so I'm chuffed to bits that I've maintained that control this month.
This is also the first pay day I've not wished the month away for. The daily budget really helps keep things on an even keel!
Wooh! :j0 -

It really is. That massive relief feeling to know I really can do this. Thank you for the streamers and hooters!0 -
I've not had much of a chance to update this week yet, but I have still been pressing on. It was payday yesterday and I had a check over my spreadsheet and then started firing off payments. A massive overpayment went to the CC, so I'm really looking forward to getting the next bill in. I've worked out I have 2 more payments to give them and then that will be closed and deleted.
I also called the debt company with the huge one and asked for an up to date balance outstanding as I've had no statement this year. That is £4,497.30 which is shocking but it's in default so there are no interest charges on it. So, based on the £150 they get a month I have 30 more payments to them. I want to pay more, but I think I'm better off going from CC overpayments to Mortgage overpayments rather than increase the payments to a debt that's already exploded in my face and has no extra charges added to it each month.
Now I know the cc will be paid off in March's salary I've jiggled around with my spreadsheet for when I can start OP'ing the mortgage, but that will be a new diary in the relevant section when that happens.
I've given myself a little "personal maintenance" budget this month and spent £23 of that yesterday on a voucher for highlights, conditioning treatment, cut and blow dry around the corner to where I work, so I need to book that in soon. There is one particular voucher company that I believe will be a lifesaver at offering personal treats for amazing prices so I don't end up looking like Vicky Pollard over time.
I'm out to dinner tonight, which I was worried about as dinner is the most expensive thing, but we've found a 2 for 1 voucher in a cheapish place so it won't break the budget. This is one friend I love going out with. He is one of the most money savvy people I know and he really understands the fact I don't like wasting money, as he's exactly the same.
The dining room declutter is going great. It seems that the dining room has been the preferred hiding place for bills and other scary looking letters! It feels so good opening letters I hid from, seeing I've dealt with them now and adding them to the relevant filing pile. I also make sure I open every letter that arrives now as I've also been missing money off vouchers for things I've bought! Silly girl!!!
So, this week has been about bills and paperwork sorting. That needs to be completed by Sunday as next week is Clothes Week. I've got way too many clothes that I don't or won't wear which can all be put to better use.
I've got to work on cutting these updates down into readable chunks.
Right, off to update my sig now I have specific amounts.0 -
It's just hit me that when updating my sig I replaced a projected almost £8K total debt to an actual £5.5K total debt!
I'm so MSE I don't even know it!!!!0
