Items delivered after being canceled

I order some electronics items from an apparent scam site which few people on this forum may know about called edock.tv and well after ordering I found out all this information and on the same day emailed them to cancel the order.

They took the money out instantly and emailed back the order has been cancelled but the money was gone. I emailed back saying what about my money etc and they never really replied.

I did keep checking my account and noticed the money they took out had gone back into the account and when checking online there is no transaction on the statement showing where they took the money out so I believe it must of been refunded.

Anyway I order the item which is a pc monitor from a more respected website and have the delivery next day.

Fast forward 2-3 weeks to today on Saturday I get a random delivery of the items I order on edock.tv. I explained to the delivery guy I cancelled the items but he said he can't do nothing he is just a delivery person and said you have to contact them yourself.

Anyway I am checking my account and still there is no sign on money being taken out of my account to pay for the items. Trying to visit the site does not work either its either down or he has taken it down or something.

So what should I do now? :rotfl:

the delivery guy is wrong, you could of refused delivery and he would have had to take them back and they would of been returned to sender. call the courier company direct and explain thet the driver woulds not allow you to refuse delivery and get them to come and collect the items so they can return to sender.

similar happened to me last year with all that snow we had.

ordered xmas decorations £30, these were sent out by citylink, they made it to my local citylink depot, but citylink were the only courier that never attempted to make any deliveries, so these items remained with ciotylink and they refuised to do anything about it. it come to a point i told citylink hq that if they wanted to keep my goods then they can as long as they pay me, they then told me sorry but we cant deliver due to snow. i then told then to take them next door to DHL as the DHL depot was next door to citylinks and DHL were delivering. they refused, so after many contacts with the retailer they agreed to refund me and inform citylink to return the goods back to them, checked the tracking details only clitylink site and it was now marked return to sender. so all good i got my refund and the goods were being returned to sender. but i was wrong, yes i get my refund but them on 29 Dec. while i was out a delivery was made by citylink of the xmas decs that they marked return the sender.
i therefore contacted the retailer who due to the holidays contacted me a few days later, which i was prepared to repay them for the items, but they told me i could keep them as a way of apology

the courier won't now come and collect it unless op pays for it. Op should have blatantly refused delivery there and then.

What should you do op? If you received an order confirmation email or such then reply to that stating you have received the goods and they can arrange collection. Then put it in storage and await them to contact you. Thats all you need to do.

OK I will reply to the email confirmation but I really don't know if the guy will reply because the site has been closed down and he never hardly replied before.

As I have said I phoned my bank up today and they confirmed that no official payment was taken for the items as it was taken out but later dropped from holding payment and returned back into my account.

Should I really notify this guy who on the site promises 2-3 day delivery and has ripped so many people off previously about this incident? :rotfl:

What if I wait it out and see if I get any contact or anything?

Regardless have you paid for it NO

so it does not belong to you. the site may be offline, but they may still have the domain registered, use a whois service to check this
  • OK so I have sent an email to them notifying them about the items and that they can arrange for a pick up etc. But I don't know why you are getting so worked up you need to understand this site properly do a simple Google search the information is all linked back to one random guy in the UK. I suspect he operates the site doing drop shipping from outside the UK and he lures people in by saying free 2-3 day delivery. Also the information provided on the site itself and the whois look-up, the phone numbers all ring but no one ever picks up, I have tried myself as well as countless other people.

I don't care about keeping it, its just I don't want no hassle trying to send it myself I have enough stuff to do and worry about apart from this random out of nowhere delivery turning up. I hope he agrees to get it picked up himself and it is all resolved swiftly.

name and shame the site and then others may be able to do some checks and give more guidance

oops not thinking straight , has a day without phone or internet as BT sorted a line fault.

anyway the phone number on whois which is an 0844 number does not bring any result for a std landline through saynoto0870.

the email given will not work as the site has no dns setting correct.

the address is correct and looks residential
