Wireless Router Needed For NTL 2 MB Broadband

Hi,

Can someone please recommend a wireless router for a 2mb NTL connection.

I would prefer to get one soon if there are good cheap ones I can pick up from stores like Tesco, Pcworld, Comet, Currys, Argos or otherwise I will just wait for the best online deals as most of the best offers are online.

I also have a £4 voucher off £40 spend at the moment from Argos if there are any good deals going on there

Thanks

There are some good offers on the NTL site - dead easy to install. Was up and running in under 5 minutes and have had no problems at all. Go through Topcashback for 3% cashback.

I'm with Telewest, I use a Netgear WRG614, they work well and are quite small and neat looking. Linksys are pretty good as well.
It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die

    Thanks BillScarab,

I was looking at this earlier on the Argos page and they had reduced it from £59.99 to £49.99 and with the voucher, I could get it for £45.99 - Is that a good price?

What speed internet do you use and does it matter which routers you use with which broadband speeds?

    Thanks

Excuse my ignorance and I appreciate all your help.

    I use a Linksys (wireless b + g) with my NTL 10mb - it's blue reliable and routes

Speed not really issue in terms of your internet connection as the slowest wireless speed is greater than 2mb.

Thanks, my laptop is already wifi enabled.

Is the adaptor for computers/laptops that do not have built in wireless feauture?
If so, would this be a good choice for me?

I don't know about distance as such but I have the netgear and I don't have any reception problems.

The adapter is for non wireless enables PC's. You can buy it without the adapter if you don't need one. If you have other PC's, there are four wired ports as well.

Make sure you encrypt whatever you get.

If you have NTL cable, you will need a cable/dsl router, not an adsl one, which is designed for BT phones.. the good news is that cable/dsl routers are cheaper.

These are for cable phones... deliver next day if you hurry
