Stiltwalker, congratulations - and I think we will need to see photos of the dress! :D

I have a new bike! She is very light and nippy, not like my old one which is basically steel tubes welded together. I had my old one for 13 years so I don't think it's too environmentally unfriendly to now invest in a new one. I had some money given to me specially. I think she is going to be called Penelope Pitstop :rotfl:

Haven't dared look at the budget. Am still reeling from the fact that the Tories managed to push the Health Bill through. Insert string of swear words here.

Anyway, on a brighter note - saw a toddler in the park this morning, chasing a squirrel as fast as his little legs would carry him :rotfl:The squirrel went up a tree and the look on the little boy's face was priceless as he tried and obviously failed to climb up after it :rotfl:I was in stitches, as were his parents.

Silva, I like the word burrowing; that is exactly it! I've also woken myself up with shouting something bizarre and once I even screamed! Just as well I live alone I think. :rotfl:

    Bless you DS's heart. :)

Byatt, I fell out of bed during the middle of the night, about 8 months ago and chipped my front tooth and bashed my elbow.:o

I also dream a lot and have woken myself and DH quite a few times and twice, have lashed out at him and almost punched his lights out, whilst having a bad dream.

I'm sure it's my medication doing it, as I have tablets which have to be taken in the evening to help me sleep, because of pain.:(

:) Good evening campers and I'm waiting to hear the full horror of Budget Day on the radio at 6pm. Have read a few snippets on the main site and not liking the way it's heading..........Never did meet a budget I did like, akschully.

As the old song has it; "It's the rich wot gets the pleasure and the poor wot gets the blame." :rotfl:And that's as close to p*l*tics as I care to go in mixed company.

:j smileyt congratters on your new lightweight bicycle, may you have many a long and happy pedalling life together.

SDG, Nurse is back at the homestead and is very subdued; your de-programming has obviously worked, although she'll revert to type soon enough, I'm sure. She saved part of the ham sarnies to show me how a proper woman makes a pack-up (I never cut the crusts off myself) and she is full of praise for your baking skills. She reminded me yet again that I am to home-baking what Attila the Hun was to urban development..........I'd be wounded but she happens to be right on the money.:p Before I die, I intend to sucessfully produce a Victoria sandwich cake which is more than 1 cm deep.

Oooff, gonna get the old bat to put the kettle on, I'm gasping. ((hugs)) to anyone who feels in need of one. Laters GQx

EDIT; just checked the Budget Calculator on the BBC's website and I shall be ahead by about £150 a year due to the tax thresholds. Of course, if I have a few drinks the raise in duty will erode that...........

*runs into the kitchen, pulling on an apron with the same attitude Superman uses when he pulls off his shirt, and makes PIC a batch of super posh biccies with enough edible glitter to kit out a troop of Drag Queens*

I'm glad you survived. Have a dodgy hug or three :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:
Just watch out with the biscuits, the glitter is inert and comes through intact....i.e you end up with sparkly poop if you eat too much of it. It's always fun giving a pot of it to a toddler and watching them eat it.

I decided to make pizza for dinner and all I can say is thank goodness for my KitchenAid mixer. DH brought a pot of yeast instead of the sachets and I didn't notice that it needed to be activated before use until I'd made the first lot of dough  If I'd had to knead the second lot by hand then I'd be ordering a takeaway. It's now proofing, so I'll see what happens with the first batch.

Better go and sort out some toppings. I just popped in to see how PIC had gotten on xxxx

I'm sorry you hurt yourself; that was some fall. My bed is quite low, so although I fall, it's not so bad, and I seem to get entangled in my duvet.

I take something for sleeping too, so I suspect it's that, but didn't have problems until this past year. The worst sensation is the falling one; many a time I've clung to the bed because I felt I was slipping off.

I hope you don't fall out again. :)

edit, well done on the new bike smiley, I so wish I could ride a bike.

Oh no! Now I've read about sparkly poo I think there may be a pot of edible glitter on my next shopping list ...... What do you think would happen if you had to provide a sample for hospital tests? Well it would give the laboratory people a giggle anyway ..... :rotfl:

Rode my bike tonight and I never knew it was possible to go so fast! Ginnyknit I will be able to cycle over and visit you now without needing to be resuscitated lol!

When I was a kid we were staying in a caravan on holiday. I managed to roll out of the top bunk, through the window and on to the grass outside. I don't know who got the bigger shock, me or my poor Mum! That was the holiday where I also sleep walked and got the potty stuck on my foot .....
