Think that is ROTFL - rolling on the floor laughing!

What is YS - usually used when someone is talking about a whoopsie or good buy - can't for the life of me think what it is - I bet it is blooming obvious!!!!

At last - I get a chance to be useful

Oh my word you lot can talk :) I wander off for the day and have pages to catch up on.

Am starting with sending huge hugs to everyone it seems everyone needs it today.

Today we have bought a car!! It cost more than I would have liked, but was cheaper than some we looked at, better value for money and wasnt covered in mould - we viewed one yesterday that had every seat, belt and carpet covered in mould, and the price for such a miracle - £3000!!!
Will collect it tomorrow when OH at work so will have time to play before he gets home.

Havent stopped moving today, having goe straight to lunch with DD, followed by afternoon at school with DS, then trip to playbarn to meet up with others from Ds class - came home to chaos, as nothing has been done here at all.

Have told OH that its bread and water from now on until car paid off card - although we have 18months 0% interest I want it clear asap. Now have to sell old car - not a pleasant task

Now to get driveway cleared of oil - old car has been seeping oil and it makes tarmac look awful - any OS suggestions??

    Good Evening Toughies

Had a productive but long day (academically)

Free stuff today was the first egg from one of my Orpingtons (she was point of lay when I got her in August, but she has been very selfish up until now - fairly certain she only popped this one out before it burst out of its own volition).

Had a wonderful surprise visitor on campus, a lovely young lass (who was a year above me, so haven't seen her since she graduated last year) who was back in the area for just the day and took the time to come and see me and share a coffee together. Thankfully I have her address so I'll be off in the summer to visit her in her new flat. It is the second invitation I have had today; this morning another of my friends invited me to visit her and her family in the summer. In China. Best start saving pennies superfast track!!!!

Not sure I've met my criteria of doing a good deed today, unless typing up and circulating notes counts?

Homewise, it is cleaning day tomorrow (and I'm expecting a chicken delivery; a Rhode Island Red approx 3yr old). Will probably pop the slow cooker on to batch make somethingorother, not sure what yet, I'm too tired.

Thank you to the poster who pointed out YS = yellow sticker; I thought it was for Youngest Son!

    Sleep tight, Toughies

Terry Pratchett's theory is that there is an agency that sends cats to people that have lost one/have moved into a house in the country etc. I recommend The Unadulterated Cat as a pick me up, even for non cat owners such as myself.

The pizza dough has been a pain and refused to rise. In the end it ended up in front of the tumble drier vent in a effort to keep it warm. I left DH to sort out the toppings and it seems he has basically chopped up the entire contents of the fridge. So it looks like we are having mega topped pizzas for dinner.

Hello, kid, gotta new motor? :rotfl::rotfl:

Re oil: once the actual oil has been cleaned off and it's just the stain try bio soap powder? Re the old car: could you take the price hit of selling it to one of those "we buy any " type places just to get rid of it easily?

I'm usually very blue by this time of year but taking vitamin D and making sure I walk a lot seems to have done the trick this winter thank goodness. When I have had the odd couple of bad days I've used bribery - do this and you can have ....... sort of thing. Childish but it does sometimes work. I think it's bad for some folk now because we know there's another month at least of similar weather and dreariness (sorry to remind you :() At least we've got this place to moan in :)

Some one I used to know had a brilliant 'meditation' pinned up in her kitchen...I can't find the exact text but it ran along the lines of...

Imagine you sitting by a crystal clear bubbling stream, in a beautiful glade. The birds are singing, and you can hear the water cascading gently over the rocks, you are feeling very serene and relaxed.

Now visualise the face of the person who is annoying you most hovering over the water, very calmly lean over and imagine using both hands, and very, very softly push the face under the water. Hold it gently there until the bubbles stop.

    THERE....doesn't that feel better :D

    Kate

sadly yes it does make me feel better :rotfl::rotfl:

DH had now turned his attention to building a chicken house. He gets stuck into projects as it takes his mind off how bad work is. The problem is we have just spent an hour in B&* sorting wood and I think he is planning on building an extension rather than a coop and pen.

Whoopsies were rubbish tonight but on a plus note my [STRIKE]carp[/STRIKE] unwanted treasures are up to £138 on fleabay. Hopefully this should give me a little breathing space in the ole bank account.

Helping out at a friends jumble in the morning and taking Aunt C so hopefully I should bag a few bargains at the same time. I do always pay the going rate so I don't feel guilty getting in there first :rotfl:

Bread pudding has all gone so I don't know what to rumble up for them to munch on at the weekend, If I do twinks I will eat them all myself.

Was going to have an early night, hot choccy and film in bed but DS has gone to a footie tournament and won't be back til late, I can't settle when he is out so looks like I will be up til he gets back.

Hope everyone has a great weekend

Lucielle and lizzy thanks for the oil suggestions will set to once its gone

Lizzy - if all else fails I will sell it to we buy cars type place and cash in tax - but going to have a go with ebay listing its faults accurately and see what we get offered.
Still needs fully emptying -OH was supposed to do today but as I was out he didnt achieve anything at all - should have realised, he needs constant supervision to get any jobs done. One does wonder how he manages at work :)
