Seriously struggling today - just spent a couple of hours flat on couch with eyes shut :( I will try the Conplan ty Greyqueen. Think I had it before when I was really ill.

I sympathise, my sister had ME very badly. She did get better eventually, and now as long as she doesn't overdo it she is fine. i hope it will improve for you too, and everyone else on here suffering.

Havent been on for a few days, had a friend pass away suddenly in sunday.

She only 55 had been out visiting friends with her DD and GD, she wasnt feeling to well so they left early to go home.
She only got to the footpath outside friends house and she collapsed and died.
It was a brain tumour, she had been having headaches for about two weeks and had made an appointment to see the dr on Monday.:(

Really sorry to hear this, Kimsmum. This must have been an awful shock for you all. :(

Well I'm feeling pleased with myself and wanted to share it with you. For the first time ever I have replaced a zip in OH's trousers and he is very pleased with them.:T Of course I will now have to become even more like my Grannie and start to take zips out of old trousers before I get rid of them. I admit I had to buy a zip this time but I thought I would aim to salavage zips in future. I have given myself a good talking to and will only keep one zip in each colour. I hope I remember this when the first zip becomes available as I am not planning on throwing any of his trousers in the near future lol. :)

Mardatha, when my Grandma was poorly and off her food, the Dr recommended Complan, don't know if that might be off any assistance to you. Perhaps something nutrient-rich but easy to prepare and digest? I have ME co-travelling with a rare and life-threatening condition which requires tablets thrice daily with food so I have to eat at regular intervals whether I like it or not, and sometimes I have no appetite either or simply feel to whacked to prepare something like a proper meal. I know what it is to feel so knackered that even breating seems effortful. Take care of yourself, hun.

    /QUOTE]
I was very poorly a couple of years ago and was unable to eat properly due to the treatment i was undergoing. I lost a good deal of weight really quickly.

I highly recommend complan and believe it got me back on the road to recovery. I ordered them from Amazon I got the chicken flavour soup and the vegetable flavour soup both suitable for veges. I made them with half milk and half water and they were so easy to swallow, a bit like a cup a soup.
They just seemed to give me some much needed energy.

Popping in to catch up and send hugs to kimsmum and mardatha.

Mardatha - little and often for food if you can, I know eating itself can be exhausting! :)

Oh yes Byatt, and it wasn't just toilet rolls, I remember there also being shortages of candles, sugar and salt. Do you remember the power cuts, I can remember typing by candle light and it being so cold in the office that we all wore our hats coats and scarves, no gloves though that just didn't work with a manual typewriter!

Oh yes, the sugar! I'm sure there was bread as well...and the 3 day week.

And I remember the power cuts; it was so frustrating, never knowing when it would go off or come on. Those were the days! :rotfl::rotfl:

Well done! I am hopeless at sewing, but I do remember my mother cutting out zips, and taking off buttons to save. Did you sew by hand?

I make these for girls' parties - Fairy Bread. Although just one slice of bread and butter cut into a shape rather than a sandwich.
