Hi
They do 1 yr and 18 month contracts.
Also, for the other questions above, if you ring them by phone they will send an email to you confirming your deal with all the information. They were pretty quick when I dealt with them over six months ago.
Good LuckI have learnt that providing excellence gets you what you deserve and not what you want !!!0 -
Happy_saver wrote:Now waited 6 days for Primus to answer my email enquiry to their sales office. In that time I have sent them 2 reminders. It makes you wonder if they won't respond to a sales enquiry within 6 days how long will they take to deal with a users problem
I normally would not deal with any Company who cannot or will not answer their mail efficiently "0844 COSTS YOU MORE"0 -
Bushbaby 1103 & Happy_ saver I phoned them this morning and they said they did have a backlog on emails due to somebody leaving "suddenly" in January. However, John who I spoke to in Customer Services stated that all emails were now up to date, they receive around 200 per day and he reckons to reply to all within 12 hours or so. Also I managed to find out that the special offer which I'm on is still available but more easily through USwitch. Sales guys can offer it if the package is mentioned, but they use discretion!! In other words you have to push them for it I guess. But try the USwitch site to see what's on offer there."0844 COSTS YOU MORE"0

Further to my earlier post -IGNORE IT !! I had a look on the USwitch website and Primus didn't figure in any of 45 deals they showed !! I phoned Primus again and they admitted that Broadband does not get promoted as it is not their prime product. But anyone interested should use this phone number which is direct to their Broadband Sales Dept. and encourage them to offer you a deal!

There's nothing on their website about broadband either. So is it only possible to find out what's on offer by 'phoning above number? i.e monthly cost, free set up, modem etc.?
I'm a Primus customer on their saver package.0 -

I also agree with what has already been said about Primus BB...I was already a Primus Saver 2 customer (thanks to MSE) and I've been very pleased with the 1Mb BB service since subscribing in early January. The freephone customer service/support number was a major deciding factor in choosing a supplier (especially after experiencing the fallout of the Fast4/V21/Biscit saga) and I have always found the Customer Service at Primus to be very helpful and polite. Initially I had a few queries about setting up new email accounts, and the BB support emailed me several times to make sure all was working correctly - great service which I definitely recommend.0

Glad others have had such good service with them as my experience has been dreadful. I wouldn't touch them with a bargepole again given half a chance, sadly I'm tied into an 18 month contract with them.
Be warned my experiences too lengthy to go into, involved them withdrawing more than £100 from my account in charges which I wasn't liable for and it took me several months to get the cash back, among MANY other problems with them.
Certainly would NOT recommend.0 -

Have a look at this thread for the difference that posters had of Primus at the start of the thread (2006), to how the opinion changes for the worse towards the latter pages (2008-2009).

This is the massive problem with long minimum contracts IMO. New suppliers start off with good intentions but it frequently goes pear-shaped later on. What incentive is there for the company to impress you with fantastic service if they know you can't afford to jump ship no matter what?Call me Carmine....
HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??0
