But if they collect cash and return later with goods they have sold at the door. Which is what there object is to make money from selling you over priced tat

no because you ordered the goods from a catalogue in your own home, so they are just delivering the goods and taking payment the same as a window cleaner or milkman

    Q2.

"The zone is not designed to prevent people from distributing leaflets or catalogues such as Betterware or the “Avon Lady”. It is also not designed to stop people on legitimate business such as gas, electricity and water meter readers.

  • I have been canvassing solar power (buy it yourself) not the rent a roof scheme, and I can honestly say I have only had a harsh response once in 6 months.
I dont bother knocking on any doors with a sticker, but for gods sake put the sticker where I can see it as Im walking up the driveway, not in a side window because you dont want to spoil your lovely door.
    I am always polite(sir/madamme).
I always have my ID on display.
    I don't walk across gardens/lawns.
I dont knock on 70yr old + as I am wasting my time/ not theirs.
The no cold calling zones are often set up by the paranoid minority for the majority which is unfair as I have unintentionally knocked these areas as the signs were few and tiny, and I have got business from these with some people in the area actually against them and saying the people who put them up are paranoid! Its all about your friendliness and approach as a person.
Lots of people moan about cold callers but they are too lazy to get a sticker.
Would you rather me claim benefits and add to the £300billion benefits bill, or earn £400-£500 a week doing this?
when the tide goes out we shall see who has been swimming naked
