I asked the same question as you a few days ago. I came to a similar (though not as strong) conclusion and sold elsewhere.

Personally, I would never deal with any internet-based company with "Ur" in the name.
  • Do not use this company. It is definitely a scam. I sent my phone off and haven't heard anything from them at all. The telephone number just rings. I think they have been taken off of the comparison websites now too. PLEASE DO NOT USE THEM.
  • Not ALL comparison sites - that's where I found them. However, the comparison site itself is an absolute scam; came onto Topcashback last year offering cashback for comparisons, then left a few months later and refused to pay anybody. I did sell a phone through another of the dealers they listed - and had to wait about three weeks and threaten to sue before I got paid.

    Me too-sent a phone off to them on 1 November,not heard anything from them,sent 2 emails,rang twice...grrr!

Just noticed this thread is a year old...have they been on the comparison sites all this time?

Just to update...the money finally went in to my bank about 4 weeks ago
  • Hi,
I just wanted to let everyone know that i have had a perfectly pleasant experience using this company.
I recently sent off my phone, without researching the company and then we experience really bad snow, so it took a while for the phone to reach its destination. I panicked and emailed the company and then did the research. i came across this thread and basically said good bye to my money. Only to receive an email back the next day, saying they hadn't had post due to the snow, they would contact me as soon as the phone arrived.
The day after, i received another email from the company saying payment was being processed. Hey presto, checked my bank and there it was and they offered more than any of the others when i compared the price.
Very pleased with the communication and the speediness of the company.

I just didn't want others to come across this thread and had a fright like i did :D

I sent a phone to Recycleurphone on 17 January. I've had no updates from them but contacted them by email to which they replied. They claim that my phone was received 28 January and that they have processed payment.
I'm still waiting for my payment and unfortunately, I'm beginning to think this website may be a scam too.
  • Hi

The company has asked to respond. MSE doesn't endorse anything a company says on the forum.

    Hi dali21,

We are really sorry you had a bad experience with us. Could you please confirm your order number and send it to info@recycleurphone.co.uk so we could look into this and resolve this. You would also be compensated.

    Thanks
