I do believe Thomas Cook are sueing them over this, .

What grounds do Thos Cook have for suing over Ryanair advertising that they are "guaranteed to keep flying over Christmas" - a guarantee which Thomas Cook cannot give! (Thanks to their own staff holding them to ransom ovcer going on strike to stop redundancies)

(You may be mixing up them taking action over another competitor using the expression "have you been thomas crooked")

  • They charge a lot for holidays in the school holidays, so why are they having money problems?
Totally agree they are rip off merchants. We have booked with Thompson and for
The price Thomas Cook are way more expensive adding on stupid extras, going to
    stick with Thompson.
And Thomsons don't put their prices up in the school holidays? And with the 'stupid extras' i think you will find that Thomsons are heading down the same route as Thomas Cook by charging for extra luggage over 15kg, and meals and if you want to choose your seat.
Obviously sometimes they are going to be cheaper than TC and vice versa, but if you and everyone else who has mentioned (not specifically on here) that TC are not competitive might actually want to spend some time checking prices.
Have some faith people, this company is shortly going to be announcing profits of around 200 million. Or maybe some of you won't give a toss when (another) British formed company over 170 years old kicks the bucket.
Thoughts with all the staff who i am sure have a lot more faith than everyone else.

No-one will be flying into airports closed by snow!

Ryanair are referring to the aircrew at Thos Cook voting to take industrial action.

Their union won't say when they will go on strike, but say:
Unite is not going to speculate about Christmas flights by Thomas Cook. The ball is very much in the management’s court – they need to come up with a realistic offer for those facing redundancy. It is a very profitable firm....

Ryanair were referring to Thomas Cook's financial woes, nothing else. The advert headline was "Bye bye Thomas cook". Distasteful at best.

The article you link to is a month old. TC staff unions have been very quiet though in the last 5 days with no announcements on industrial action. I suspect events of this week have been game changing for both TC and Unite.

You seem to be very much enjoying the current TC situation. Since they have announced a deal with the banks; your posts have changed tact, now bleating on about a strike threat; a new stick to beat them with? Remind us... Who pays your wages?

Cooks cabin crew should come out and reassure everyone by saying they won't strike instead of threatening to disrupt like this.

    How are they helping?
