    For my money I have:

my education (most of the debt was spent on this)
    some nice bedroom furniture
a good DVD collection (some of which is going on ebay in the near future)
a large book collection (see comment above)
    my computer
a 125cc motorbike that has a good engine but needs lots of work before its roadworthy thanks to an accident
    memories

Whether the above is worth 40,000 is up or debate.

    I have:

A lovely little flat that I am planning on selling to move in with OH
Some fantastic holidays (all my mates are going snowboarding next week without me for the first time in 5 years!)
Ummmm, a belly from too much eating and drinking out
    Saving for an early retirement!
  • Great question!

Maybe it was something to help me forget? Whatever it was, it must have worked...

I think I'm going to have to use the DPA to get 6 years worth of credit card statements to remind me. OR do I really want to be reminded?

  • sadly not much, as potogold says - i also have 3 kids and 5 dogs! - no house, old cars, no large tv, most of my clothes are now 8+ years old etc etc - i have had however a computer an x box and at least one foreign holiday for all of us for the last 12 years. Most of the debt was from negative equity (40,000) and bad advice that followed which has resulted in a massive snowballing
  • debt is 12 years worth.......

a 12 year old car - on its last legs. bought for £1K

2 other older cars now cubed in a brokers yard somewhere £5K total
    deposit for house £1K

I would like to say no regrets but, I have a few. I wish I had saved :money: a percentage of my money I have earned rather than just spending everything that I had and more.
