    ok fair enough

    but it still isn't true

it might be based on a true story - but it has been changed through the multiple telling ... hence the double/tripple distance the teller gives it ... it didn't happen to him/her ... or even his/her mum ... or even his/her mum's mate ... no it was his/her mum's mate's bloke ....

There's noway the criminal was in Tesco's - asking people to his van. If this was the case - then the OP would be telling us this 'story' about how dumb the criminal was.

Who buy's stolen TVs? Dodgy people.

Who buy's stolen TVs without checking they work ... or even that they are in the box? Stupid Dodgy people.

But even stupid dodgy people go to the police when Tesco's have full CCTV of the criminal and their Van.

Specially as there was no crime committed by the mum's mates bla bla ... as you can't be done for handling stolen goods - if you haven't got them ... unless the bricks were from the Berlin Wall?

No - afraid this isn't a true story.

    Nice one though

My Dad's, cousin's, mate's, pet rabbit - was buying some hay from Pet Smart when a wolf said he had three bales of straw in his kennel - going cheap. The dad's, cousin's, mate's, pet rabbit - went to the wolfs kennel - there wasn't any straw - instead he got eaten. So if any of you are in Pet Smart and are approached by a wolf - please be warned this is a scam.

so you was there was you? TRUE STORY. im not one for making things up and neither is my mum and i dont take lightly to you accusing me of lying.
There's someone in my head, but it's not me

    Rude ?????

Mmm - you was the one who told someone else that you hoped they got scammed

This is the usual Urban Legend type thing ... it changes from tellin to telling ... it didn't happen in tescos - it wasn't a £1,500 TV.

What happened was that some friend of a friend was offered a DVD of Titanic in Weatherspoons. Got home and found out to his shock the film was s**t
