Well if you're going to think that much about it, make sure you're prepared with big sheets of paper etc.
Are you a visual thinker?RosaBernicia wrote: »Also shifted a few pots etc in the garden but not done anything major. I need a couple of obelisks/ similar for climbing stuff, which can be sorted next weekend after payday.
Obelisks?

No not that kind...
And actually not one of those either. This kind of thing so that it goes in a pot instead of having to involve nails etc. I still resent spending on anything I would have to leave behind with the landlord so all garden stuff has to be relocatable.

Darn it, now I want to read Asterix :rotfl: and I haven't got any here. (It always reminds me of Christmas holidays for some reason - must have read it on boring Boxing Days.)

Pah, now I keep checking my email waiting on a reply from the landlord in case I can rush over to the cat shelter... it probably wasn't sensible to look at the website in advance  ... everybody cross fingers please
It would be really good if I can have a pet here, as everything else is just about right. I will have enough space once I sort out my clothes and ebay the excess (plus take a couple of boxes to the parents place), and the garden will be fine once I chop the remaining leylandii. The only other thing I would do here is swop the single sofabed for a double one, so that I could then ditch the futon or swop that for a chair, which would give a bit more space in the living room. Of course there are also a few things I would do if the place were mine or if I'm staying longer... and that can all wait for the longer term.
I dropped off some packing crates outside the old house today, as they were sort of borrowed from there and I couldn't think what else to do with them. Was surprised to find that I didn't really feel nostalgic for it - in fact I realised I feel quite cosy here now, and I'm pleased to be shedding excess stuff that I don't really need in my life.
All worked out pretty well for that move then :T
