I've just read your thread and I'm loving it :T. I'm also getting excited about the prospect of dromedaries in Hemel....
Hello MacPumpkin :hello:
Spookily you posted on the day I was planting seeds for your namesake
I'm not sure about the idea of having camels around this town. Though hopefully they might tread on some of the students.

- Came home from work on time
- Think may make it to payday without spending much more
- Have had unofficial offer on a book I put on Amazon - a friend wants it. They've offered £50 less, but I kinda guessed the price I set anyhow and if I am cheeky and sell direct, it will save the fees... so that would be £100 to knock off debts. In fact it would leave me very very close to breaking the £10K barrier again which has got me all motivated and playing with my spreadsheet :rotfl:
- Found out I can take the remaining bits of leylandii to one of the recycling centres - they're open late one evening a week and it just means driving round the other side of the ringroad on the way home. So that will get rid of the darn stuff and save me paying £35 for a garden waste bin.
- Sorted several bits in garden yesterday, lockable box is now ready to go to allotment as soon as I can recruit an extra pair of hands. Found a padlock I had kept from the last place so that saved £8 buying a new one. Also planted up some seeds so fingers crossed things take off
- Energy levels still good and should get some project reading done tonight.
- Booked annual leave to ensure I have time for project work.
- Oh and I managed breakfast at home before I ran out to work
- Has rained for a week now so haven't got any more allotment digging done (never mind, it'll get there slowly).
- Am going to have to figure out something to sort situation with deputy at work. Was interrupted three times in a team meeting to tell me how overloaded she was, despite a) having already explained that the new year of allocations are being reviewed, b) said we should discuss this separately as it wasn't of interest to the other staff present and c) she appears to have plenty of time for personal phone calls and moaning with crony. I've been avoiding dealing with this because jobs probably will be at risk later in the year and I didn't want to push her away from a steady project to something riskier, but we're not getting the delivery we should and she has also told me she doesn't see herself with the project long term so - guess it's less sentiment and more ensuring the project is secure for those who do want the work.
- Bought lunch as forgot to get to supermarket on weekend, so am low on lunch stuff. But might just leave it til payday, as will probably spend less if am sensible buying sarnies than if I raid supermarket and add stuff I don't really need.
I thinkwins there

It's getting so I have to try really hard not to roll my eyes at some of his pronouncements. I think he still hasn't forgiven me for breaking his three-day rule or some such nonsense over a year ago. (I got a long lecture on how I would be compromising my self-respect if I sent a second text to a man who hadn't replied to the first one. To which I said 'that's b*ll*x, he's just carp with phones and anyway I'd rather text and know I definitely tried than leave it and sulk'. Texted, saw the guy again and got several texts etc from him afterwards. Unreliable friend not delighted at success, just continued lecturing me on bizarre intricacies of modern dating etiquette.)
...and said friend (aka font of all dating knowledge) has always followed his own advice to the letter and been in a wonderful relationship for years (started by following said advice) is he? Honestly, does he think he's Cilla Black? :rotfl: (sorry, don't mean to poke fun at someone I've never met but he sounds awfully self-centric and dramatic at times) xFeb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

:rotfl: errr, no. If this was one-half of the marriage we all want speaking, I wouldn't be taking the mick out of him either.
Not that I am in a position to be dispensing relationship advice, but at least I know it...Debt free May 2016... DFW#2 in progress

Unfortunately, it looks like you won't be seeing any soon. It rained today, yesterday, sleeted the day before, and hailed so badly on the friday, it looked like snow..."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

Don't eat something that's been on the floor for three days?RosaBernicia wrote: »(I got a long lecture on how I would be compromising my self-respect if I sent a second text to a man who hadn't replied to the first one. Like don't go see an oompa loompa band on a first date?RosaBernicia wrote: »Well thinking of getting organised to finish the walks I started with friends last summer, preferably in smaller chunks to ensure we end up in pubs in the evening.

Well of course he has. It has made him very, very happy and let's face it, he will continue to be overjoyed with the love of his life until the day he dies.
He's very obviously loved himself for years.Honestly, does he think he's Cilla Black? :rotfl:
He didn't used to, but it came as a surprise suprise...(sorry, don't mean to poke fun at someone I've never met but he sounds awfully self-centric and dramatic at times) x

Sigh - so how come when I don't play games, they act confused?:T
Change that preferably into a definately.
Working on itThat's why I asked it. To make you think. Or are you just window shopping?
I may well be window shopping, at least to start with while I figure out what I'm really looking for. I do need to think through this but want to do it over a good few hours when not distracted with day to day stuff. Now I've booked a few days off, I might go park myself in a cafe and not leave til I've come up with a list.
In some ways I don't like reducing what should be natural chemistry to a checklist, but on the other hand I suppose there are a few things that are pretty much essential for that chemistry to exist. So it won't do any harm to try and figure out what those are.
I can even think of someone I could use as a model...
