Was thinking the same.... Photos on the 5th.

Will try to get Adolf one too but no idea about the 2 girls at Sonia's as she has not been in touch. Will email her and ask to post a photo or two.. perhaps...

    :)

Emailed Magda, Sonia and jennifer for photos of babies and Lucy the mum as well.

    Time fliesssssssss

macius is a total utter horror... heheh :)
  • Hi guys! I'm not around much tomorrow, so have taken some pics of the girls tonight.

They're not very interesting as they are soppy little monsters and just sit around wanting to be cuddled all the time - totally the opposite of my beloved old moggy.

    2012-10-04+20.58.17.jpg

That's Harry on the left and Red on the right.

Ever since we brought them home, there have been three seperate toms aching to get at them. In fact, one of them has been so desperate to get to them, that he broke our front door. yes, really. We had to replace our front door. That particular Tom sits waiting for them and then corners them - so they don't like going out much...my old cat obviously used to scare all the boys away.

Unfortunately Harry is officially !!!!!!. Her back hips haven't set properly, so she stumbles all the time and can't run in a straight line, and the vet said she has never seen anything like it - she doesn't even have a full set of teeth...it's not that they haven't grown through, they were never there in the first place. Still she is extremely loving, wants nothing more than cuddles and is totally happy, purring all the time!

He never wants to admit it, but she is definitely my OH's favourite :)

As for Red, she is very protective of Harry, is starting to get to the stage where she'll go after the Tom if he corners her, and is beautiful - very much like Lucy, I think. She is my daughter's favourite as she's the one that she can pick up and carry around.

They are both very playful, chasing each other and anything else...especially clothes when we're trying to get dressed. We just have to be careful with Harry. She dislocated her tail when she ran sideways into the wall once, and you can't pick her up really because it puts pressure on her hips - but then if you want a tickle, you just have to call her and she comes running. Well, stumbling.

It's been an interesting year. They are adorable, very loving, totally different characters and still my little baby girls!

Sonia - thanks for the lovely photos and the update.

I am absolutely devasted to know that Harry (who looks like Fred's twin sister on the photos here) is unwell. So is Adolf, the little boy that Magda my Polish friend took on. Adolf's vet suspects that he has some labyrynth (spelling) issues as he too can not run in straigh line, tumbles over and has no sense of balance. I only found out today when I got an email with his photos. Same as I just found out about Harry...

This was supposed to be a happy end to the thread but instead such sad news about both Harry and Adolf.

I really do not know what to say, I am just so utterly sorry for both of them.

Will post some photos of Adof tomorrow - his mum and dad love him to bits despite him being wobbly a lot of the time, their vet said he is not in pain and he acts like a happy cat all the time BUT.... :(

Macius is wobbly on his legs too but does not stumble or fall over, he is just extremely clumsy..

I will check his teeth tomorrow, I think he has all of them but the long 4 of his teets have like a little ball ending on each one of them, very very weird.

So perhaps there was something genetically wrong with all the kittens but how could anyone possibly guess?

Lucy is all fine (again will post some photos tomorrow, Jennifer sent an email but no attachements so hopefully will resend tomorrow). She too loves Lucy very much.

Poor Harry and Adolf....- both so beautiful...XXX

Red looks 100% like my Macius, Harry looks 100% like my Fred, they are both georgeous.....
  • Hey - don't be sorry for Harry - I definitely think she is the happiest most content kitty I have ever known. Ok, she makes a lot of noise when she's trying to slurp down her food as she has no teeth to hold it in her mouth *snigger* but OMG, she is WAY more chilled out then Red, who is genetically absolutely perfect.

She is extremely entertaining, and we appreciate every moment of her. She's happy!!! and we're happy with her :)

I guess they are very lucky to be in very loving homes, both Adolf and Harry (with Red) where they are looked after and loved despite their "disabilities" that nobody could predict.....

Thanks a lot for the update/info

Will post Macius later, couldn't get him to stay still last night...
  • I pinned him down. He's wrapped up in my cardie for this shot...

He's wonky just like the others. He gets physio exercises every morning to keep his back legs strong - as far as he's concerned, it's part of his morning games. He falls over and off so many things, he broe one of his funny teeth in half months ago. He sounds like he eats his dinner through a straw.

But he's daft and silly and sweet and funny and he's happy. None more so than when he's pelting round the house knocking things over, running into walls, windows and getting tangled up in the blinds and harassing everybody else.

Happy Birthday Dizziee Dude - I'm not quite certain how you managed it, but you're a year old today! xxx

And happy birthday to the others. You have a lifetime of chaos ahead of you - use it wisely.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.
