FWIW I think looby is right and a post similar to the DFW board would be good :beer: . I like DT I'm often in there. There has been a number of benefit threads already but happy to contribute to another.

What puzzles me is why someone with seven 'A' grade A levels spends her time picking holes in the general views on this site about benefit scroungers, rather than her concentrating on being a captain of industry or a politician in her own right, and aiming to correct the whole imbalance between taxes in and benefits out.

If I was clever enough to have all those A levels, I'd be bored out of my mind just running a business from home all day, even with a couple of children to bring up and a wedding to plan. I'd want to be out there giving something back for my education and keeping my intellect active.

I hope that when black_saturn is finally free from home responsibilities, we might benefit from her considered views as to exactly how the national budget can balance out, if many of those taking from it are doing so at the expense of those diminishing numbers who still have sufficient work ethic to keep contributing into it. Someone should make a documentary or write a thesis on "the benefits culture", because it is coming over loud and clear that a proportion of the public think the world owes them a living.

Was one of your A levels in economics, BS? If so I'm surprised that you don't take the wider view.

BS I don't understand why you started this thread, then posted a link to your thread as the first niggle you had, when that thread hadn't been posted on in 3 days?

I've seen people getting slated for being on bens, I've been slated myself and called the lowest of the low (by the charming Grex, where is he these days?!) but I wouldn't have dragged it up again 3 days later.

You're not on benefits, so why let it bother you so much?

If we ignore the name calling, everyone else has valid points whether we might agree with them or not.

Channel 126, 10.35. I expect my beer opened and ready to be poured while you sit there doing some polishing (you may get that, you may not).

As for the song, kinda went over my head, im on the laptop and got tinny speakers and I'll be damned if I'm gonna go up to my office to watch some witch chant. But yes, got the general chanting idea
