Benefit bashing posts

Can we please put a stop to all these benefit bashing threads and posts? The moment someone mentions they are on benefit all advice for them seems to go out of the window and bashing comes in. It's getting really boring and tedious now. If anyone on this board wants to do something constructive about it maybe they should write to an MP or go and see their local MP or something like that but don't come on here shouting about it.

Point them out to me. Then I shall believe you.
I believe the only bashing that has happened is when someone is defrauding the system or intends to.
Like I say, point a couple out. Recent ones that is.
Theres a difference between having a go at someone because they are on benefits and rasing discussion about the benefits system, of which the later has been happening recently, which is, as far as I am aware, freedom of speech and a clashing of ideas on how fair the system is.
Seems you want to add fuel to the fire with this post?
That was quite a serious post for me too. But I know 2 people will back me up! Give them time

I know the exact post you're on about BS.
My boyfriend claims benefits (incapacity due to him having M.E.), he'd give anything to be fit and well enough to work again but alas... My boss frequently tells me he just needs a "kick up the backside" and it really upsets me, as if it's that easy to cure!0 -
There seem to be alot of people not agreeing with the present benefits system but that should not put people off giving advice. As you say if they do not agree with the system they should contact their MP.0

Here I am, or one of us at least!
One of the threads a couple of days ago was asking people to sign a petition regarding the Maternity Grant - as a lot of working families are not entitled to it. So we are trying to something about it...
I will say it again, I have no problem with people claiming benefits/grants/whatever else, as I always say, nobody knows what's around the corner, what I do have a problem with is the people that sit on their @rses & don't try and help themselves/defraud the system. This is going to turn into exactly the thread you're saying you've had enough of, well done!

So Black Saturn, you are rumpled that someone dared suggest your boyfriend work full time as oppossed to maximise his benefits claim. Ok, now i understand."On behalf of teachers, I'd like to dedicate this award to Michael Gove and I mean dedicate in the Anglo Saxon sense which means insert roughly into the anus of."
