BS if you think there is a little vigilante group on here then report them and leave abuse to deal with them

I really do wish that we could have a board rule on here about advice not debate just as there is over on the DFW board.
If you want to debate the wrights and wrongs of benefits and the people who claim then then take it over to Discussion Time, which is a whole board full of debates and let the people who want advice and information come here without getting jumped on just as they do on Debt free wannabe0 -

Yer but no but yer but no but yer but come on, we have to expect disagreements on a subject like this, surely?!
Devon, I'm feeling a little bullying going on...
Love the fact that you're a witch too! The wicked witch of Devon, and the wicked witch of Chavolott! Brilliant. Love it! :rotfl:

black-saturn wrote:We know what your beliefs are now. We hear them in every thread about benefits. Could you please now start giving these people budgeting advice rather than making them feel bad about being on benefits?
I take offence to that. That is too much of a generalisation. I am not aware of any of us witches making people feel bad about being on benefits - if they are entitled to them. A few of the recent ones us witches have been 'involved' in, were regarding benefit fraud. What are you saying, you want us to be nice to them?
If we were seriously that bad, surely we would have been 'kicked' off for breaking forum rules?
This is quite comical really, we are feeding it I know, but what a joke
I am in the future you know...

Excellent post.black-saturn wrote:Can we please put a stop to all these benefit bashing threads and posts? The moment someone mentions they are on benefit all advice for them seems to go out of the window and bashing comes in. It's getting really boring and tedious now. If anyone on this board wants to do something constructive about it maybe they should write to an MP or go and see their local MP or something like that but don't come on here shouting about it.

It was me who made the post to b-s that was criticised.liney wrote:So Black Saturn, you are rumpled that someone dared suggest your boyfriend work full time as oppossed to maximise his benefits claim. Ok, now i understand.
BS boyfriend supports a teenage daughter. In 5 weeks he was having his hours reduced to 10 a week, putting him in the position where he would have to claim IS and just keep so much of his 10 hour per week wages (I think it's £20). In a short space of time he may not find a f-time job. BS can't become the breadwinner instead as she lives miles away and he currently can't move to hers either. I gave an alternative suggestion that as he is currently a single parent supporting a dependant child that he found a 16+ hour a week job (possibly easier to find than a f-time one) or a 6 hour a week one to go with the 10 hour a week he already has (totalling 16 hours.
This is legal, it is the rules of the tax credit system. If people don't like them you should lobby your MP to have them changed. As I keep pointing out I don't make the rules, but I'll tell someone what they are if I know them myself.
B-S pleased to hear your bf found something :beer:0 -

I thought that was what this board was about anyways, giving advice not opinions, I wouldnt be surprised if no-one posted in this section anymore for fear of being jumped on.looby75 wrote:I really do wish that we could have a board rule on here about advice not debate just as there is over on the DFW board.
