perhaps a punishment in same tone would send out the appropriate message to those who feel they can treat an animal that way.

I agree lemontart people that inflict such awful things on other creatures should have the same done to them!

I'm just hoping the poor dog was rendered unconscious very quickly, and didn't suffer for too long ... Makes me so angry!!!!
Some days I wake up Grumpy ... Other days I let him lie in.

Oh my word I've just read that it was his partner's dog and he's done this to get to her!

How absolutely awful for the poor owner, she must be distraught, what a terrible way to lose your dog.

I heard this on the news last night...they were anxiously asking people to phone up after hearing someone had reported a terrified dog being dragged around. He was begging people who lived nearby to look and see if they could see anything, and giving the RSPCA and local police numbers. About 20 minutes later he said he had had a call saying the dog was dead, and its body had been found abandoned. He sounded like his heart broke as he said it.

Horrifying...I'm glad he has been kept in custody. Shows they are taking this seriously...poor little dog. RIP

Makes me sick that they have used a 'domestic argument' as an excuse, too. Eurgh.
