And any parts of the plants that might break off, just stick it in a glass of water and watch it grow roots........then pot it up. Buzy lizzies are great for propogating this way, and good for the kids coz they can see the roots developing in the water :D

I stuck one up at the weekend - still there now, I've lashed it down and it is next to my shed. I intend to join the two somehow - it will involve lots of duct tape.

Last autumn I found new covers at homebase for £17 ,so i bought 2.
I put them over the old frames this spring and they are reinforced with a plastic mesh so much stronger than the old plain PVC.
I tie my cover to the frame all the way around and then cover up the edges with mud . It says not to in the greenhouse original instructions but it hasn't ever caused a problem.
Mine are beside the shed for the shade. It is quite a wind tunnel in our garden but the pegs in the cover that go into the ground, the ties to tie it to the frame and the mud and anchoring ropes are enough to hold them down for the last 4 years and I leave them up all winter, snow and all.

    Hi
Can anyone point me in the direction of finding this cover which apparently is wider than the normal ones you find in garden Centres etc
    Greenhouse cover 1595mm (5'3") high, 890mm (2'9") wide and 490mm (1'6") deep.

    Thanks in advance

We have had a walk in plastic greenhouse for a few years now and you can't seem
to get replacement covers for the large size anymore.

We managed to get a replacement cover for about £12 from Focus a couple of years ago but they don't seem to sell them anymore. I think it is just a way of getting you to fork out £50 or so for a new greenhouse.

Anyway, if you love your plastic greenhouse and your thinking of binning it because you can't get the cover this may be of use to you.

B&Q sell clear heavy duty repair sheets which measure 3m x 4m for £5.78.

The packaging says they are ideal for covering broken windows, leaking roofs, are rot proof and waterproof.

I have just fitted one inside the greenhouse and it covered the entire one side the whole roof, three quarters down the other side, about a third down the back and the same down the front which I rolled up.

The back of the greenhouse is backed onto the wall of the house and the side which only has two thirds covered is up against the fence. Because the old cover is one of the green threaded ones it holds the polythene sheet in place.

I could have bought 2 and stapled parts of the 2nd sheet onto the first where it isn't big enough but as we have the wall and fence to protect it I shall see how we get on.

You will find them near the blue tarpaulin sheets (I'm sure most stores have the same layout).

    ;)

Check the B&Q site first, if you input your postcode it will tell you if there are any in stock at your local one.
