New cover for my plastic greenhouse?
My plastic greenhouse has lasted 2 years, but the cover is now torn to shreds. We are re-organising the garden and won't be ready to site a proper glasshouse this year, so I would like to buy a new plastic cover for my 'plastic house' as the frame is still fine, but don't want to spend too much if I can help it as it may be only used for one year.
Has anyone seen them cheaply anywhere?
I think they are all standard size (I may be wrong there).
P.S. I grew the most fantastic aubergines in there last year + tomatoes and peppers.....thinking of trying a melon this year!

Our local garden centre usually stocks them. But, have you got a branch of 'Poundstretcher' also known as ' in store' near you?
I saw them there last year and they were really cheap and looked the same quality as the ones in the garden centre.I wish you......

A moonbeam to charm you,
A sheltering angel, so nothing can harm you.0 -
I started my growing with a plastic greenhouse too..... just as yours has, it disintegrated after 2 years - I found another (complete) greenhouse for the same price as the covers (in Roys of wroxham) - so it is certainly worth keeping eyes open.

Also, I found all the 'extra' poles/joints/shelves etc, made new staging etc, i just made them to my own shapes! They are still useful as staging when you upgrade to your glasshouse, so it might be worth considering a complete one anyway??
PS: grow melon in the sunniest corner you have - i got 7 of the BEST melons ever from a 50p 'roadside' plant in my first greenhouse. You have to pollinate them yourself though - easy when you know how!

I dont know how much the covers cost but wilkinsons has whole new plastic covered greenhouses for £29.99 which seems very good. I haven't seen just the covers for sale before but would be interested to buy if they were cheaper than the new plastic houses in wikos. My 2 plastic houses have about another years worth of use I think but then will be too far gone to use another year as they eventualy tear along the seams.0

Are these the polythene zip up type ones ? If so, what size is it you are looking for ? I have just bought for £9.95 at poundstretcher a 3 tier house with cover that measures 69 x 40 x 126 cm.0

This sounds small - I assume you mean one of the plastic growhouses or whatever they are called. I do have one of these against the wall next to the back door - great for hardening off seedlings etc. However the new cover I am looking for is one of the walk-in size greenhouses.
A managed to make the cover last a second year by taking it all down and storing it over winter. There were a couple of places where it had ripped at the seams, but I fixed that with some duck tape. This year the winds got to it in the autumn before I had a chance to take it down and it is absolutely shredded.
I don't have a poundstretcher near me - but will investigate the Wilko option - if they really are under £30 for the whole thing, this definately sounds like a good deal. I like the suggestion of re-using poles etc. to make some extra staging - great tip from 'angie loves veg' - thanks.0 -

About 4 foot by 6 foot by 6 foot ish then - these were £35.00 complete.
Haven't seen any loosed covers anywhere, but will keep my eyes open.0 -
First time poster here so a quick hello !
Is this the sort of cover you're after jap200 ?
