The motto is guys always be polite to airline staff - they will try their best to help you if you stay calm & not having a go at them - they are not Tesco trout:rotfl:

Couldn't agree more, I got stuck in the USA in Jan (something wrong with our plane...best not to try and fly it across the atlantic then) - consequently missing my OH b'day (well most of it, got home at 9pm instead of 7am ) but the airline staff were lovely arrnanging alternative flights and accomodation - even when I prob did look like I was going to burst into tears.....

Nope, its horrible.... we got to get up later & leave the house by 9am to travel to god know where to somebody's (my filthy rich uncle ex-employee) fruit orchard to eat & eat eat:D

My bro is going back to Melbourne this coming Tuesday he has been here since mid-Nov. My sis in Berlin could not come but she has already visited dad last August just gone. But she was a bit upset cos' she said everybody are there & she is in Berlin we told her not to come home unless dad situation getting worse. They said last week it was touch & go for my dad but his will to live is very strong.

Now we are worried that the hospital will discharge him since he is better:eek::eek::eek::eek:

    :( poor DH

DS is ok, back to normal. Being very naughty, even his dad can't believe how he doesn't listen and just ignores everything we say to him.

I coulnd't believe how quiet the roads were and I had a pick from a few tills at Asda. Very strange for a Saturday, and even stranger for a week before christmas

I was in Mr A today too and thought exactly the same thing, was talking to the SA who said it was awfully quite esp for a Sat. I have a feeling a lot of people were busy finishing gift shopping and then the food rush will start. A lot of the fresh xmas food still had use by dates before 25th on, plus there's lots of people who don't get their Dec pay until next week.

I watched a couple after they had the episodes with the "proper" NCIS, but couldn't really get into it, I kept looking for Gibbs:o:o

You have to be careful with the fresh stuff at the moment. I had to really search through the joints of beef for one that was the 27th. I don't want to do any shopping next Sat (except for M&S;)), I think it will be a nightmare. I used to do all my christmas shopping on christmas eve to get the atmosphere of christmas, but there doesn't seem to be any now. Not sure if it is me being a lot older or the fact it all starts so early.

Are YOU feeling any better MT? I'm not sure if it is a good thing or bad that your around so late?
