Dr.Who-Who wrote: »I missed my flight last thursday because of M25:mad::mad::mad::mad: the idiot open the wrong lane!!! They open the opposite side of the road:eek::eek::eek: coming out of heathrow & we the victims have to travel 4/mph to the airport took OH 1hr45mins to reach 20 miiles.
At first, I was told that there is nothing they can do & suggested that I look for another airline but there were no more flight out of heathrow for me from most of the ailine. Then they said I cannot buy another ticket for my connecting flight in Amsterdam:eek: & the only refund I get back it the airport tax:eek::eek:.
To be fair the staff were very helpful, then next available flight out is on the 19th Dec from them & it cost 1000 pound (this keyboard does not have pound sterling - bloody foreign lappy:D)
after half an hour I got a call from the airline staff asking me whether I am still in the airport - me said yes - she said she can put us on standby:j:j:j:j me said ok:D and me got on the next available flight to amsterdam to catch me connecting flight in the evening. Phew!!!! thought I loss my airfare as well as not able to visit me dad.
The motto is guys always be polite to airline staff - they will try their best to help you if you stay calm & not having a go at them - they are not Tesco trout:rotfl:
Glad you got to visit your dad hun.:A
And a belated happy birthday to you.
I really didn't think you would have time to read this thread with all that visiting and travelling and doing the "touristry" things. Hope you have a great time anyway.

Hello everyone, 2011 has been spent mostly couponless so am out of touch, lots to read up on. Hubby has been in charge of the shopping most of the year, but it's my turn now. Wishing you all the best - notice the main forum is full of new names and the old timers are over here on drivel. Are you all finding that it's best to print moc and wait for the bogof to use them? that's the only big saving opportunity I can see these days. Nice to be back - the choice of forums in coupons section is a bit overwhelming so I will pop in here whenever I can to see what you are all nattering about!Life itself is the most wonderful fairy tale - Hans Christian Andersen2012 savings:remortgage £156.15pcm £5 pcm insurance reduced; 2012 Running totals: £10 goodwill requests/Grocery Coupons £12:T0

Morning everyone
getting a bit worried about Quoia's detective skills....... wonder what their real life job is :silenced:
:hello: mrs moneyspinner
I know you have been out of touch for a while, but MyrtleTurtle (also known as MT) has a shopping list on the first pages. With this list, you may find it useful to copy and paste into word, and then edit to your needs), it tells you the best places to spend your vouchers for the best benefits.
And no, we are not just waiting for stuff to be on bogof. We are now finding when stuff is reduced in price, and using vouchers makes it free or cheaper
for example comfort pure, we had vouchers for 75p off and Sainsburys was selling it for £1.... so CW bought loads at 25p
I was buying impulses at 50p
There is a 50p coupon on selected bottles that is valid until aug 2012! if there are enough bottles with stickers on to last until then. And if you buy when on promotion, ie £1 in boots, 95p in Superdrug, etc you get for 50p and 45p. Bargainous or what.
There is also the Asda Price Guarantee and Tesco the Difference that a lot of people are doing.
So you use vouchers and also get moneyback from Tesco and Asda. I don't do these so much as my nearest Asda is too small and Tesco is a half hour bus ride away, and I shop around at Lidl, Iceland, etc
BUT Morrisons and Tescos have been doing buy 1, get 2 free.
there have been a lot of glitches at tesco express stores.... so try to keep reading here too when you can, as helpful people post glitches we don't all see when they are on grabbit. Like the staples one....
still loving that.0 -
Morning all. Huge hugs to all those not feeling good right now. xx0

Bully, you always sound so busy! have a lovely xmas.
Still need to get a couple of bits for DS and DH. He is organising a gift for me, but mentioned last night I could do with some new pots and pans, I agree!
but I said I would see if they were reduced anywhere before I go out and buy them, don't have loads of spare cash, but if not, will wait till new year sales. Or a glitch.......0 -
I loved Nikita FT and Blue.

think it was because part of me wished I was like her, kick- a$$ and unbeatable. Well..... at least she came back fighting if she did get knocked down.
was sad when that series finished too.
about Angel, loved that more than buffy. Watched all of buffy too.
never watched CSI LA, wasn't happy with so many spin offs. Didn't realise LL Cool J was in that.
Ice-T is in Special Victims Unit. Love watching that - think he is brilliant in that.
Wow that makes me feel old, remembering their music from the 80s.
I watch loads of stuff like this, cold case, criminal intent, LOVED this program when Goran was in it. Loved the way his mind worked.
Monk!!!! I missed the final series when we find out who killed his wife and why, but am trying to record all the ones that come on now, so hoping will eventually find it has been recorded. but they keep switching, between the 2 PAs he had Natalie and Sharona.0 -
Farmville
I only occasionally buy from M&S, must admit love their food, as the quality is soooo good.
When they have dine in for £10, I got the valentines one, and it was so lovely. Even DH said a few weeks ago, it's M&S Dine in for £10... I thought yes but that £10 is just for 2 meals, I can buy more than 2 meals with it.
but if I can keep getting £10 vouchers through maximiles then will treat him when they have such offers on.
I know blue said she likes the salmon with cheese bits.
I am aiming for trays of things, like pigs in blankets, probably none left by 3pm to be honest, any veg like roast potatoes, parsnips, DH wants red cabbage this year.
So am going to see what is reduced at 3pm and go for it!0
