As to whether you should get a refund of the actual goods depends. For instance, if they were to be delivered for a funeral, then they are no good arriving the day after and are therefore useless. In general, though, I wouldn't think it reasonable to get a full refund.
Why not? If the day has passed and the need for the goods is no longer there, why shouldn't the customer get a refund? The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -
Well then the OP should take the company to court.
I still don't understand how people expect a "small " company to get the flowers to a customer the next day (unless local). Defies logic and that in itself would have warranted a quick look at the T&Cs where all would have become clear.
It doesn't matter what anyone would expect, it is what they promised and what they charged for, is the point.
I would would like to see your interpretation, of the promise made on their website, about next day delivery for orders received by 23:00.
They do not pack the flowers themselves, they pass the order to local florists, in much the same way as Interflora does, I thought that was obvious. The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -
So what is your next step? Small claims court? More angry e-mails? Picketing the company? It's not about giving up, its about cutting your losses; accepting that sometimes you have to learn lessons and move on.

Point 1; their T&Cs don't promise it (thy count a 24 hour period from 3pm to calculate what is next day and it oes sound like th website needs tweeking)
Point 2; what is your point? If I would double check at 9pm then I would be even more sceptical abot 11pm
Point 3; from what they say on their website it looks as if they pack and post their flowers via courier.
Flyboy you and I have this argument frequently and much of the time you are technically correct. Taking an analogy for your argument:-
If you are a villager in the Sudan when the Janjaweed attack it is all very well telling them that they are not alowed to kill you and enslave your children as it is against international law but you will still be dead and children enslaved.
You must take a more pragmatic approach to life an pick the battles you are likely to win. Sure you can go tilting at windmills but that won't necessarily help you.
The OP now has this choice and Mara69 is asking that question as am I.0 -

That has to be the most ridiculous post I have read on this forum.0 -

A step too far I think and I find your tone offensive.
I have written no angry emails, not my style and gets you no where. This thread is to gain others polite opinions to see if I had reason to complain or whether my efforts are going to prove fruitless.
However......
I would like to mention now... that; this morning I was confronted by an email from British Bouquets relaying that as a good will gesture they are going to refund the delivery cost of £5.50 even though they believed.. "The order was sent in accordance with the delivery schedule.".
I must call them and have the payment put back onto my card. I am happy that this thread shed light on the fact I did indeed have the right to complain, so again yesterday I sent another email saying so and has produced a winning result.
THANK YOU to all of you that had your say on this thread, you have been a great help and feel that without you I may have given up.
