I hope they get back to you first thing tomorrow. Stress and tiredness are not a good mix
.
I don't know why developers and estate agents feel they have to make what is already an expensive and emotional purchase into such an unnecessarily stressful experience.
Just keep thinking about living in a nice new house to keep you going...:DMortgage, draw down Sept 2014: £222,000
Now: £173,2290 -
I just phoned the developer to check and, basically, it was a case of 'no news is bad news'. So, house is going on the market tomorrow and we'll see what happens.
Also phoned Mr Immoral Estate Agent agent who now claims our house is worth £5K less than Friday and 'declines to comment' on what he said last week! ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!0 -
Good grief - so good of the developer to contact you and keep you informed.....
Have you found a nicer estate agent to sell your property? Fingers crossed for a quick sale.

Yeah, I'm not overly impressed with the developers so far to be honest, shame their houses are so lovely!
Our house is now on the market with a local agent, NOT mr immoral E.A. It's priced really low to sell, so hopefully we get some decent offers soon.
Fingers crossed.0 -
Another £38 paid off the credit card.
DH not well now, so we're both up at this unsociable hour, reading, coughing and drinking hot Ribena, we're so rock n roll!0 -
Two of my BIN's have sold in the last 24 hours, so that's probably another £12 - £15 in the pot after postage.
and a little bit less stuff to move into our new house which we bought yesterday!!!!!
Ours hasn't sold yet, but we've been lucky enough to reserve our new house anyway, thanks to my parents who insisted on providing us with an interest free 'bridging loan' until our house is sold. At which point, all money from the house will go to them. Completely their idea out of the blue. It took us a while to agree, as I wanted to make sure they weren't going to lose any money or interest etc, first. We're doing it all through a solicitor, so it's all above board and legal! We're so excited! Just really want to sell ours now so my wonderful parents can have their money back ASAP.0 -

Have you had any enquiries about your house?Mortgage, draw down Sept 2014: £222,000

Apologies for radio silence, life has been really hectic and there's so much to do at the moment. I can't wait until everything is sorted and this sale/move is completed.
I have also been ill with a chest infection for the best part of a month, so have been struggling. Now on antibiotics which are helping but still not 100%. DH also has it to some degree and now it seems my Dad has caught it after staying with us for the week.
We've had lots of interest on our house (apparently) but only one viewer so far. House hasn't been advertised for a week yet though, so guess that's ok, although I am a little disappointed. Viewer loved house and wants to arrange 2nd viewing, but we've been told by E.A. that her max budget is about £4K less that the lowest offer we'd accept so not optimistic that will come to anything.
New house dealings are in progress. This is my first real experience of dealing with solicitors and I am hating it. As we have a different solicitor for buying the new house to selling the old house, it's proving a lot of organising and twice the work. Developers have insisted on a specific solicitor for buying in order to obtain the best 'deal'. Annoying, but easier to go along with it and get the house cheaper.
We have, as you can imagine, been spending some money the past couple of weeks. £400 + House valuation fee through Mortgage company; £150 up front to solicitor B; a few bits and pieces we need for the move/new house has resulted in the ISA taking a battering and the credit card balance going up slightly. However, we have taken a little extra on our mortgage to pay off the loan and almost pay off the credit cards, so that will all be swallowed up within the mortgage and will make life easier for us.
We also paid out £30 for a wedding gift at the weekend (felt a bit tight it wasn't more, as they gave us a lot more when we married, but all we can afford presently). DH paid for drinks there which were pretty cheap anyway, and I drove there and back, so a minimal spend.
DH had a bit of a windfall at the weekend after winning £240 on a work based scheme. :T He has put £160 of it in our bank account to help with moving costs, the remaining £80 he has used to pay for some other expenses, a bot towards saving for a friend's stag do and a little to treat himself to a nice lunch today which I think is fair enough! A windfall like that every week would be lovely!0
