    Hi!
Hope you had a great Christmas and have a wonderful New Year. I've been a bit distracted- lots of blobbing but not posting here so much. I'm trying to get my brain in gear for the new year! I need to get back on track!

A lot of that is the standard mortgage payment, but it all adds up :)

It was payday yesterday, and as long as we stick to budgets then it wasn't looking too bad for Jan. I just hope we haven't forgotten anything. I used some paypal money yesterday and had a flutter on the bingo. Withdrew £35 which was nice. I do this once every couple of months, but as I rarely spend money on myself I don't worry if I don't win.
Also had a web sale last night, but I'll use that to buy more supplies.

If I don't pop back on later, then Happy New Year to everyone. We're seeing friends tonight, having a drink and food. Very MSE

I didn't leave the house yesterday so was def a nsd. 1st of the year and hopefully many more to come.

Yesterday we also managed to create a roast dinner from left over meat which saved us a meal and also from the temptation of the pub. Very pleased with that.

Hoping to get out for a walk today if it doesn't rain.

Well done on the NSD and sale! I'm trying to have a store cupboard January. Your roast dinner sounds great.

sadly today wasn't so great. Popped to the shops for bread and spent £50

£25 of that was on a new coat for dd2 and underwear for me, which is budgeted for, but even so.

It hasn't come out of my budget apart from the coat I will take out so have to tighten up for the rest of the week.

Day 2 of no alcohol :A and managed the walk today

Your greenhouse looks great, I am tempted to try and grow stuff again this year. If you don't mind PM me the MS address I would appreciate it.

I almost booked a holiday this morning to centre parcs but resisted at the last minute due to the following factors

    - if I book the same week off as hubby in summer then it's an extra weeks childcare to pay for = £70 ish
    - will have to pay for holiday and spends = £1300 ish
    - saving will mean OP's may reduce
    - my hours are being rejigged at work which means a slightly lower takehome pay
    - lots of school holiday childcare to pay for this year.
    - house improvements wont get done as we'll be saving for holiday instead.
    - We would travel during Olympics and do we really want to do that?

I'm a bit sad but I think it's the right decision not to go. I think I'm going to cost out a Disney Trip and start saving for 2013 / 2014
