    With XP, 10GB is pretty lean. And 2GB of itunes is a serious chunk of that. I'd definitely think about an external hard disc as a minimum to transfer the itunes tracks across. As for the programs (that is the correct spelling ;)), it depends on what you have and what you are confident you don't use.

  • Download and run https://www.ccleaner.com to safely delete unnecessary files including cookies, temporary files, browser cache etc.

    Assuming your computer is otherwise running OK and you won't need to go back to a previous system state, delete all but the last system restore point: Start - All Programs - Accessories - System Tools - Disk Cleanup - OK. More Options tab - Clean up under System Restore.

    10Gb is tiny these days especially if itunes are involved, you need to get a hold of a bigger hard drive. I can imagine how slow the PC is running & would be in tears (of frustration)!

    You could also compress the disk. it may take some time though

    With the size of hard disc I think you'll just end up running into the same problem gain very quickly although good idea to back up all your stuff anyway. Do you have a dvd writer?
