Recommendations for Slow Cookers please

From what I've seen of the dual pots, they are a divided pot so unless you regularly cook a main meal and pud, or say a casserole and a soup together, then I wouldn't bother. You won't be able to cook a joint or chicken or anything in it either, and yes, both sides still heat up even if you're only using one."An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

Just want to say a big EXCELLENT to Curry Queen for her recommendation of the Morphy Richards 6.5l slo-cooker. Ordered it late at night on Tues from Tesco for £25.25 and it arrived today Good Friday ! Have got a pork goulash thing cooking and it smells fab and as all the pork was reduced in JS this am have got enough to freeze0

That's very kind of you, thankyou, although I wasn't the first one here to get one and it was Ticklemouse who actually made the recommendation to me
I say a big congrats to all the new owners of the shiny MR 6.5l slow cookers LOL! :rotfl:"An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

I missed the offer on Tesco, they are all now sold out. I bought mine locally and to be honest, I didn't pay much extra. It also means I can use it this weekend instead of hopping about waiting for it to come0

I just checked the capacity of my (donated) slocooker and its only 1.5 litres - what on EARTH size portions do you lot makeBlah0
-
LOL - the portion sizes are the same, we just make LOTS of them. Mind you, Mr TM's ability to eat several portions at one sitting may also account for my need to make a lot in one go. He's away for 10 days at the moment, so, still eating leftovers and won't need to 'cook' for a day or two.0

Thanks everyone for helping me decide about slow cookers. It's been a big help. I'm now the owner of the 3.5L MR one. It's plenty big enough and fits well in my tiny kitchen. I'm now working my way through the massive slow cooker recipe thread!0

Okay, Okay - convinced!
I'll get one too!0 -

I think that Asda have got bothe the 3.5 and the 5.5 Morphy Richards ones at a pretty good price at the moment. I've already got he large one and I'm almost tempted to get the smaller one as well.0
