My crock pot arrived today, not bad eh! Ordered Saturday with an estimated 3 -5 day delivery - free delivery from Amazon. Unfortunately I haven't actually got anything to cook in it and my shopping is not due to arrive until lunch time tomorrow. So guess try out will be Thursday, so as the world is my oyster and I can add to my shopping list until tonight, what should I order.
I have got lamb shanks on order and am thinking of trying Kleftiko in it.
I have staked my claim on rpoint as I ordered through their link and will let you know the outcome.£2.00 Savers Club = £34.00 So Far

kazd wrote:Tried to find you one like mine which is a Tefal but I don't think they make them anymore which is a shame because I love it.
I basically want to be able to do everything that a frying pan/normal pan can do like frying or being able to drain the fat off mince because I don't have a hob. I never thought to look at woks. Is it the same as an electric frying pan?
LOL! The Morphy Richards 6.5 litre slow cooker has sold out on Amazon! :rotfl: I'm gonna get it from Tesco I think.0 -
My concern would be that as its a wok you may not be able to get the low temps that you can with a electric frying pan/multi cooker.
Did you look at this one

Also this one

Hope these help.
The first one is the one my friend got when she couldn't get one like mine and she raves about it.

Found another and this looks very much like mine, except mine is Tefal.

Thanks again Kaz. I've bookmarked the pages so I'll look into it after I've bought my slow cooker.
I live on my own but I'm planning on freezing additional portions. Would the Morphy richards 6.5 litre be way too big? Do you have to fill it up or could it be only half full? I think I would rather get too big than find the 3.5litre one is too small.0 -
Dingdong - the book does say it should be 1/3rd full (from memory) but my mum bought the Rosemary Conley 4.5L one and has successfully cooked enough for 2 of them - she's not over big on freezing stuff. It depends on whether you can foresee the need for a larger one in the not to distant future, or you want to cook larger things like legs of lamb. The 6.5L is a big beasty - why don't you see if you can pop into a store that sells different sizes and have a look to gauge them.0
