Advice needed-deodorant for 8 year old

My daughter is 8 and recently she has started to have some body odour under her arms so I think its time she starts to use some kind of deodorant. She's small for her age and I'd say under-developed compared to her peers so I don't think its early puberty or anything and she is not overweight - she's underweight due to a medical condition.
Can anyone recommend a deodorant suitable for an 8 year old, or do you think a body spray would be sufficient until she's a bit older? I don't remember what I used to begin with but then again I was older than 8 anyway. What do your children use and how old are they?
Thanks

At 8 or 9 we probably just encouraged our child to shower or wash regularly or daily....if its more of a problem than that then the next stage we took it to was getting a natural deodorant...we got a bar from lush and that seemed to work really well...progressing onto deodorants and anti perspirant later....frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

Thank you, I'll look into the natural deodorants and soap from Lush - think I'd prefer that to start with. She has a bath every morning but she is, and always has been, a bit of a hot and sweaty child so I think she needs something to help her stay smelling fresh all day.0

Def go wit ha natural one - and a deodorant rather than anti perspirant. Also make she she cna keep cool - cotton shirts and jumpers at school, no nasty polyester etcPeople seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.

Unless something is up, a small child who washes regularly shouldn't be smelly.
If she really pongs I'd check for skin infections, and if not I'd leave her be. Young girls have enough problems with body image as it is.0 -
I wouldnt use a spray or roll on. I mean they arent good for adults. Natural crystals would be better. x
I would stay clear of talc as well.1,2 & 5p: Christmas day food £9.31
10 & 20p: misc savings £2.70
50p: Christmas presents £3.50
£2: holidays £2.000 -

I would use something natural, with no aluminium.0

I thought sprays were really bad for the environment...0
