Thanks for the update, you have done well and made a considerable saving without switching. I just hope that TalkTalk don't try to continue with the switch!

Is it worth putting it in writing, recorded delivery to them as well do you think?

I would still confirm the cancellation to TT in writing by recorded delivery, Otherwise you may find the switch going ahead regardless-it's been reported here before. TT is like an oil tanker-once moving, it can be difficult to stop it.

Thanks, have written to them recorded delivery (although as I discovered to my cost with BT last time, recorded delivery to big companies is pretty ineffectual as Royal Mail T&C 3.17 have it that they only require 1 signature where a number of items of mail is being delivered to a single recipient, so be warned folks!).

Have also cancelled my Talk Talk direct debit and will recheck with online banking in a few days to make sure they haven't reinstated it.

Not paranoid or anything, but is there anything else I need to think about? LOL
