Hubby and Bubba are infinitely preferable to DH, DS, DD, or any other such exclusive jargon spouted on these boards.

It was a long time before I realised that women on here were not referring to their husbands as D!ck Heads.

You are not kidding. I thought I'd worked out what DS meant until I read another current thread on here, where, apparently, a DS is some kind of child's toy.
  • it is a toy.
DS - Nintendo hand held games console
    DH - d*ck head
DW - home of Wigan FC
    DD - Direct debit

because i refuse to accept that people actually refer to their family as 'dear son', 'dear daughter' and 'dear husband'.

more North East.. I've never heard anybody in the North West say it (we say mum) but pretty sure quite a few people from the North East say it though.

A lot of people round here say mam and I can't stand it, ex will say to one of the kids "ask yer mam" and I want to scream.

It'd be more helpful if we knew where 'round here' was ;)
