I know this is an old post but love it! I drove a 2 hr round trip recently just to have the meatballs

I made it with half semi skimmed milk and half water with a knob of butter and it was perfect. Definitely wouldn't bother to use cream in it in future as I don't think it was needed
(and the extra calories certainly aren't needed!) Putting these winter preps here so I don't forget!
