Ok I've been doing flylady this week. I come and go periodically but over the last 8 weeks I have really not cared about my house or keeping up with things so decided this week to give myself a kick and do some stuff. Felt really satisfying yesterday when I had finished & the lounge was lovely & tidy :T

Tuesday - kitchen and dining room
    level one
    Sweep the floor
    Level Two
    Wipe the work surfaces
    Dust any flat surfaces
    Level three
Clean the kitchen sink and drains
    Polish the table

Tuesday - Living Room, Hall and Stairs, downstair loo
    Level 1
    sweep through the living room
    Level 3
Clean the mantel or coffee table, re home things that don’t belong here
    15 minutes on a hotspot
    Wipe the phone

Wednesday – clean lounge & kitchen windows
    Level 1
    HH putting stuff away
    Level 3
Wipe computer keyboard and mouse, clean the screen
Run a virus scan or defrag

    Declutter misson:

Despite the promises decades ago that we were heading for a paperless world it doesn’t seem to have arrived! Today declutter paperwork, from files, intrays, magazines etc. Do you still have the receipts from last Christmas stuffed in a drawer? Leaflets for places you will never visit; recipes you will never make get rid of it all.

    Wednesday Health Check
When life is busy it is easy to forget to keep an eye on your own health but it is so important. So today I want those breasts checked ladies and I can think of no excuses. Now is also a great time of year to get appointments at dentists and opticians if you are overdue a visit as they get lots of cancellations. Have you stashed your supplements away at the back of a cupboard hoping they will work by osmosis?

Wednesday season of goodwill and forgiveness
Simple one today for you all, I want you to forgive yourself for something you have done in the past (distant or more recent). It can be a bad decision you made, something you said, something you didn’t do. Stop it being in your head. Accept that you are human, you made a mistake and you completely forgive yourself for it. Now enjoy your day. I really need this one at the moment! Am off of work with anxiety & just worry about everything. :(

Afternoon all, have DH under my feet today and already he's annoying me..lol For some reason I have this aversion to my week being interrupted midweek for a day by DH. When he has a week off it's much better :D

This is what I have been up to while "resting"..lol Was supposed to be for an American ornament exchange, but unfortunately it has been cancelled. So I am now left with these stitched ornaments for my tree :D

Tuesday - Living Room, Hall and Stairs, downstair loo

Change any pet bedding that needs it

    Declutter misson:

Today declutter paperwork, recipes you will never make get rid of it all. ~ through away a load of cookery mags that I won't use this morning.

    Personal Challenges :starmod:

    Monday Pollyanna Day

    Tuesday Go outside Day
I want you to spend 10 minutes today outside (or looking through the window) enjoying the season. Look at the birds, the beauty of the plants in your garden even those which are stripped bear. Whilst you are out there see if there are any evergreens, seedheads, berries which you will be able to use for Christmas decorations. If you don’t have a garden then a brief stroll somewhere close by would be good. - Saw a sparrowhawk sitting on my veg plot this afternoon, a bird we never get in our area. Also it was the first time I have ever seen this bird. Also sat and watched Mr and Mrs Dove, Woody the wood pigeon, Asbo Robin, Hoody and Mrs Hoody Blackbird, and hundreds of starlings and sparrows, after have fed them their breakfast this morning

    Wednesday Health Check
Done, as I have to go for a chest xray on Thursday which I booked today. Also have been checking breasts since ribs got fractured, no lumps just very tender :( Am also taking my supplements daily :D

    Preparing for Christmas Challenges:rudolf:

    Monday dates
Advent starts next Thursday, have you got your calendars or candles?
When is the last date for ordering your turkey ~ having goose, just waiting for Aldi to get this in.
Can you book an online delivery slot yet? ~ am going to do battle with the shops myself. :D

    Tuesday outfits
Even if you are not going out for Christmas could you wear a favourite outfit at home? ~ going to inlaws and funnily enough I found an unworn outfit while chucking out unwanted clothes from the wardrobe this morning :D

Wednesday season of goodwill and forgiveness

Jojo don't forget to post a pic of the kitten when you get chance.;)

I shall make sure the spare room is up to scratch today; Dilly Doglet will be arriving tomorrow, and while her bed will be in the kitchen, I shall need to move the wheeled trolley to the spare room to make room for the dog bed, and her "suitcase" with her food supply and such like will need to go on the trolley.;)

The Challenges today are.... interesting, to say the least. No problem with the health one, but as for the other..... where do I start, when I've spent 5 decades apologising for even existing?!:(

I'm pretty good at keeping paper garbage weeded, but I'll go through the racks under my computer desk, and see if anything can be disposed of, for the declutter mission.

I'm all up to date – still waiting for results of my blood test, so nowt I can do there at this point; just decluttered nearly £1K to the dentist, so that's done; optician not due til after New Year (they'll send me a letter); and audiologist booked for 7th January. Calcium and vitamins get dished out every night, when I put out the next day's prescription meds for both Mr LW and myself, so I think we're all covered.:T

    Afternoon all

I've done all the bedrooms today and my bedding is out on the line. I did DD1's yesterday.

I'm going to have to think about the Christmas challenge today. It's hard to get out of the habit of feeling bad about yourself and how you've let everyone down. Work in progress I think.

I went to the dentist last week for a check up and all good.

    Monday Pollyanna Day
Have rung a friend to wish her a happy holiday later this week. Am seeing DH's being away tonight as an opportunity for a pampering soak in the tub & a good nights sleep without having to wear earplugs!

    Tuesday Go outside Day
Have swept the birdtable & made up a new mix to scatter on it.
Fed the fish & dead-headed a few flowers to go in the green bin as this is being emptied tomorrow for the last time till April

Back from a long shopping trip. Did manage to get a few presents so I can update my list in a minute. Worryingly unworried about Christmas this year despite not having got many presents at all.

Those struggling with today's Christmas Challenge I simply want you to say out loud to yourself I forgive myself.

Jojo - so excited for you about the puddy cats! Give them a cuddle from me.
Natty - those are beautiful! They'll look lovely on your tree.

Just popped on to say thank you for all your good wishes. They are very much appreciated. We're trying to keep busy and remember the fun things we did with the old puppy dog! Lots of tears and laughter. Stripes has dragged her bed to where the other pooch had her bed and lies there a lot. It's quite nice not having a gap where the old ladies bed was!

Will join in properly next week and just pop in and out this week.

Need to go and get some exhaust quotes as mine has just fallen off the car. It's been a good week - not!! However, we're lucky we had the old lady for nearly 15 years and at least I have a car even if the exhaust is in the boot! (pollyanna moment!) xx
