Would this be very very wrong? ;)

I'm not normally the type to play silly dress up with the dogs, but I am seriously tempted this year to put them in little christmas outfits just for when we arrive at my parents' house for christmas dinner to make everyone chuckle, and for a daft photo op.
Is this the start of the slippery slope? If I do this:

Is it only a matter of time before I end up with this:

I put some reindeer ears on my previous dog one Christmas and we had a giggle over it - she didn't care. I think if the dog isn't bothered then what's the harm, I bet many love the extra attention it gets them. I'm not one for dressing up dogs in boots and dresses but 10 minutes wearing something that doesn't bother them isn't the end of the world.0

It's not for me, but let's be honest the dog doesn't care one way or another, so no, it's not wrong.0

It's wrong unless you dress to match! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:You never know how far-reaching something good, that you may do or say today, may affect the lives of others tomorrow0

I have a collection of photos of mutt dressed as the following, with which I adorn my christmas cards every year
Santa
Christmas fairy, complete with pink fluffy wings, wand and deelybopper head dress (always a good look for a bull terrier)
L'il elf
Very p1ssed off Christmas pudding
Winter outfit, with scarf, gloves and reindeer earmuffs.
And this year's piece de resistance is planned to be a snowman
To be honest, she is not impressed and only keeps the outfit on long enough for the photo - last years pudding was only achieved with the aid of mother balancing a sandwich on her head (don't ask) - but it's now such a tradition that family are waiting eagerly for the next instalment. I'm running out of ideas and mutt is scarpering at the sight of the camera, but our audience awaits.......All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
I don't think they'd be bothered as long as it was comfortable and not scratchy or getting in their way. Something like this isn't all that different to an ordinary coat really...0

I'd also say be careful what it's made of - mutt's santa hat and scarf were courtesy of poundland and must have been made with real fur of some sort as she kept trying to eat it. I wouldn't have bought it if I'd realised, just didn't give it a thought. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

I am also not a one for dressing dogs up but for Christmas I think it would be nice, even just for a few photos.
I personally don't like to see them in t-shirts and dresses especially ones that are like dolls or baby clothes but I do like the santa oufit posted above and the christmas jumpers that are available at petsathome.A home without a dog is like a flower without petals.0 -
