Good god! My dad once hired this guy who was the CLUMSIEST person in the world, on his first day he somehow managed to shatter the toughened glass panel that opens at the back of the tractor cab, that was £100 to replace.

A few other less expensive incidents and I think a few hints were dropped, he got the message and found another job, I remember my mum saying he was a nice lad but better off shuffling paper where he couldn't break anything lol!

I did that once, the harsh b it ch made me drive round all winter with no back window as punishment! It was only replaced at hay making time as I said there was no way I was going to in to a field with a mower without a back window in the tractor. "why not" she said so I replied "that mower kicks up the stones and if one of them end up embedded in the back of my skull I'll be deed and mum and dad and H&S will take you to the cleaners.

Next day a window was put in, two days later the mower kicked up a stone and shattered it.:rotfl::rotfl:

I'll assume it's real considering the stories you've told me. Obviously you were ok in the end. Also probably lucky it was the silage pit not the slurry pit.......

Yes, he landed on his head :rotfl::rotfl:

Oh yep, all real. I posted those pics on a Land Rover forum some time ago so who knows what happened to them after that. They are the kind of pics that would do the rounds I suppose.

I was fine, it gave my dodgy hip a bit of a jolt. This was after her hubby died and she was more concerned about me than the damage, she couldn't have been nicer "oh these things happen" but if her hubby had been alive it would have been a different story.

Sis can vouch for it all being real.

Did she re-replace it? I can never understand people who are that tight, I can see the merits of being careful, but tight? No, life's for living, loosen up!

I might have seen them through a friend who's very into Land Rovers then......obviously that couple were just fuel for each other's hatred!

Oh yeah, she had too, she knew I wouldn't work otherwise.

Her: "why don't you use the other tractors"

Me: "none of the others are capable enough of handling the big mower in that long thick grass"

Her: "nonsense, they will do until the window is fixed"

    Me: "ok then"

40 minutes later I get a phone call..

Her: "why do you keep stopping?"

Me: "the engine is boiling, I'll keep going if you want me to but it will cost you more to fix an engine than it will to replace a window"

    She hangs up.

I stood up to her and she didn't like it one bit, whereas everyone else was scared of her and she knew that.

He could be quite strict but I managed to wind him round my little finger to a point and get him to see my way of thinking. Things were often done the logical way thanks to me leaning on him but when she got involved, things ended up getting done in the most illogical way possible and ended up taking 3 times as long. I tried pointing that out to her and when i said "fine, you're paying me for 5 hours work for something that should only take 3" it was only then she began to listen.

Hi everyone, this is my first post. Been lurking here for about a week. Have been meaning to post but by the time i've caught up its always so late! Anyway its only a small glitch but the tesco's own bleach is £0.79 or 2 for £1.20 so it takes off 38p for every 2 brought, but it actually takes off 38p twice, one discount says bleach and the other says washing up. I went back and tried it again to double check and it definitely works, i also used a £1 off household coupon from the price drop mag. I got 10 bottles plus a pack of andrex washlets, used a 50p off coupon and a £1 off so spent £3.60 on 10 bottles of bleach and a pack of wipes. not bad i thought. Hope this helps someone :)

Hi bleach was in tesco extra ba**ury. I only tried it with the 'original' scent but im not sure if it will work with the others. It was the tescos own brand in a blue bottle hth

    is this the bleach?
Something unexpected happened which made me smile and still continues to make me smile.
