• Have I got this right?

With the Christmas Cake, it is £6 reduced to £3 but the £1 off if you spend £5 voucher in the magazine still works?

Hi

first post - thanks to all for the grabbits/and the coupon thread which i check too .... i found my first glitch last night - hope it will work for you all as it was a biggy.

Surf - small & mighty 54 wash - should be £8.99 but tesco have a deal on so it should have gone thru at £4.60. Got to the till and tried to use a £1 off coupon and they said i couldnt (squared up for a fight!) .... couldnt use the £1 off because i had only spent £2.24!!!! so went back in and grabbed 10 - left 20 ish on the shelf for others - went thru the self serve till and paid £22.40. It was Tesco F***worth - the new one.

It also works with the sunshine yellow one for Surf - not sure of the exact name but doesnt work on the Surf pink one ... again not sure of the name.

Hope it still works

regards cathxxx

hi Cath

sorry for being thick but what exactly is the glitch? Is it coming up cheap? Are more discounts coming off?

Have I missed the details due to cleaning house all day and obviously affected by lemon liquid??:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Feeling all happy and you'll all probably laugh at me, just treated myself(I'm allowed to treat myself cos I don't smoke anymore:rotfl:)to the TakeThat Progress live tour CD. Went to see it in the summer, thanks to mse got cheap tickets and confess me and my friend had drunk rather a lot of pimms before we went in and were "slightly" merry. One of the best nights ever and now I'm listening to it it's bringing back all those memories and has a real feelgood factor about it.Funny what music does, sorry guys waffling there:p:p

I went too , it was absolutely fab. Can't wait to see the dvd, you've just reminded me to order it for DD for Christmas!
Hope is not a strategy.

fudge2 you're amazing! I am soo jealous! I feel like lightweight now in compare to you and I was quite proud of my stash... :o

PS. What are those red things under the babyliss? :o

Thank you, you are definately not lightweight though, I just ahve some catching up to do as I've only been around since beginning of sept :)

The red things? they are princes chopped tomatoes, 4 pack for 92p, although I have three packs of 6 that I snaffled from the top stock, it makes them so much easier to carry. I have one pack each for me, mum and sis :)

I have also managed to pick up some more comfort, 6 bags of cornish fudge and three chickens yesterday, so :T to the ops for the chicken and fudge.

just a tip...but get a spare shoebox or something like that...stick it on top of the wardrobe or somewhere you can get to it easily...and store all your reciepts in it....i keep 99% of my receipts...just not the food ones! It makes it a hell of a lot easier when trying to return something!

I lost a receipt last year for a kids present from Argos and they refused to exchange it as there was no proof i had got it from them (paid cash)...:(....but my hoover died last week..bought it from As in June this year on offer...so found the reciept, took it back and exchanged it no probs!! :)

Durham05 has the receipt, that is all that is needed as proof of purchase and I think it tells you to keep it as your guarantee - the muppets say he has to have the box ... Do Tesco think people have a storage facility for boxes? Most folks recylce them.

Cake is £6 normal price
Now half price £3.00
£1.00 off voucher in price drop mag if you spend £2.50 on cakes and puddings
=£2.00 Xmas cake

Does work, trust me ;)
I made a mistake once, believeing people on the internet were my virtual friends. It won't be a mistake that I make again!

I finally managed to get some Comfort vouchers so popped in on the way up to put Mum to bed at 10.00p.m. last night. I found the correct Comfort and went to the till. The girl rang them up and when I gave her the vouchers said these are competitor coupons I cant take them. I said no they are Manufacturer coupons but she decided to save my transaction and took me to the CS desk. They were a bit shirty and umhed and aahed and the young girl in charge finally said oh take them and I will take the blame. When I said they are Manufacturer not competitor they completely ignored me. They finally gave me the discount but left me feeling upset as usual when I go to that store. It is walking distance from my house but I have had so many problems there I usually drive 5 miles to the Extra where they are lovely.
My local is full of trouts and I hope someone from there is reading this because I have given up now.
I am going to send a letter of complaint about the staff and their attitude and try not to go there again!!! Anyone would think it was their own money!

email your wonderful shopping experiences to the chief executive's office, philip.clarke@uk.tesco.com. Ask the question why you should have to travel 5 miles to be treated in a courteous manner as a store customer and make the suggestion that perhaps the staff are in need of some serious training with regard to customer relations - I suspect you will get a positive reply,
