    Morning all:santa2:

Not had a chance to post since going to Mr T.

Managed to get my 5 bottles of comfort, and a few, well 20 bars of DM for the Christmas party I'm helping to arrange for the dance group my DS goes to. I have a budget of £1 per person for the gift for them, found 3 calculators @50p each bar code 2942, ben10 statioary set @22p 8529, disney parachute fairy one @50p 6782, pack of 6 disney erasers @ 20p 1371, and 2 small barbie puzzles @ 39p each 2942. Also managed 11 of the lollies, sadly no wine gummies :(

Has anyone in Surrey/Croydon managed to find the I loom balloons, I have spent hours scanning every type of packaging to no avail all come up as per SEL £3.15 or £3.50 would love to get 4 packs to split and put 1 each in their gift. Can anyone give me the barcode for them I have the 1005 but I'm sure I saw a post with different numbers. Have checked for the pencil cases, only cars 2 one in my locals all scan at correct price :(

Anyone got any suggestions what I should be looking out for ages of the kids are 5 - 12 mostly girls but 4 boys regularly attend. All ideas gratefully received :D

Have a good day all :)

You could have a look out for the light up yoyos (scanning at 20p), they are hanging on clipstrips down the toys/stationery aisles usually. Also the bubble lanyards are still around, they might be ok for the younger ones :)

Oh and just forgot to say:

I watched the infamous penny pinching(or whatever it was called) this morning and I just want to say my opinion:

-I found the Asian couple proper lightweights! Come on! Is 97p Flora the best bargain you can find?? Barcode scanner on your mobile: pretty useless too especially with prices changing faster then they are updated! And surely you don't get the quidco cashback into your bank account before your router arrives!!! You're lucky if you get it months after... The woman didn't seem to happy to be saving all the time and not seeing the money. I make my money go a long way but I also have some nice things when I want them because that's why I'm saving money in the first place.

-the savvy bride was ok in my opinion, I'd splash out a little more to be honest(definitely alkohol, it's not that expensive especially the wine now and again) but I loved the table decorations she made!

-roadkill is a big no no for me personally(couldn't collect the dead animals and then cutting them up for the meat) but if that guy is ok with it thats fine!

-and finally the coupon woman: I really don't see why so many were mad at her! Ok, she had more then "a few" coupons but surely the ones of us that do coupons get what they want/need as well... And I don't think T or anyone not knowing much about coupons would realize any abuse/misuse... (I'm not getting into too much details about it and I'd just leave the issue tbh as there is no point to discuss it over and over and bring even more attention to it!). I do like my daily showers but if they live in a different way I don't have a problem with it... Charity event is fine with me too, she does it every month and I can see why she got the 15 quid for her expenses... I don't have a problem with her free lunch either especially as she raised over 230 quid anyway... So all in all the only thing she did wrong in my opinion was doing the programme because now T staff know her face and she might have to face more trouts...

    :)

    no news from elsie :(

    I did get a job and I'm a nanny :D

Re T best buys: wine in 6+ quantities preferably from the 3for12GBP offer as it thakes the 25% discount off the original price, so 6 bottles for ca.13-15 quid... until Sunday I think
some meal deal wasn't working so dtd(smoked haddock rissotto) not sure if it's still the case
free range chickens on dtd too...
I'm not very up to date really, sorry :)
  • vouchers are in :)

Woo hoo - off over the border in a raid on Carlisle for 25% off wine .... makes the 50 mile round trip very worthwhile.

Very pleased with my haul... 12 bottles of Lindemans Red for me and 6 mini bottles of Rose for visitors.... £93 quid down to £33. The £60 saving was well worth the trip - such a shame we can't get the same offers up here - damn you SNP!
