I bought the heros tonight (was all I could find) but didnt twig the different size of the tins. The ones I bought were 800g and cost £10 and the ones in the price drop leaflet are 950g and £5. After being refused DTD on the weight discrepancy, I made it plain to the CS girl that I thought Tesco were out to con customers (I know thats blunt and even inflamatory, but I can't see how offering quietly in a brochure a bigger product to the one on the shelves at twice the price can be anything but a con!!!) and suggested she reached in the till and refunded my money as I'd be taking my business elsewhere.
I know we exploit glitches but !!!!!! what planet do Tesco actually think their customers reside on?
The old saying however suggests, not getting mad but getting even. Will let you know if I succeeded on that score tomorrow

Hi Caz can you explain what the codes for the movies ae nad how you get them please
Most Disney films, CDs and games have a leaflet tucked on the inside of the box. On this leaflet is a code (or two depending on how old the title is) that you enter on the Disney Move Rewards website. CDs earn you 80 points, DVDs 100, blu-ray 150 and games seem to be around 300 points. There are exceptions such as boxsets where a single leaflet covers all the films e.g. Toy STory 1-3 on blu-ray gets you 450 points.
When you have enough points you can redeem them against a number of things such as DVDs, blu-ray, soft toys, key rings. Have a look at the following site for more info:
http://www.disneymovierewards.co.uk/
As a quick example, the DVDs I got on DTD got me enough to redeem them for 'Up' on DVD but I'm stuck with not quite enough points for another title and not enough money to go out and buy Disney products willy nilly.0 -

An interesting one.
Just been to my local extra. Price drop brochures a-plenty by the tills and heroes/celebrations by the escalators on a pallet with a £10 price on them.
I bought 3 tins and a few other bits.
Only self service tills open so I scanned everything through & paid. I went over to the SA who was "supervising" & advised re the price difference. She called a duty manager who checked the leaflet.
A sign by the tills says "In the unlikely event we overcharge you, we let you keep the item & give you a refund". I pointed this out to him and he said "fair enough" instructs the SA to sign my receipt and then he walks off.
SA says she can't issue refunds at night & I would have too go back in daytime. SHe signs receipt stating refund due, gives it me back with the choccys and that was it.
So I've got to go back tomorrow morning to get my dosh. -In one hand and out of the Other!0 -

Sweet! Thats a done deal and signed off on the instruction of a duty manager. CS can't overide that. They might try of course, but stand firm and have the store manager there if you have to.0 -

Yep, that's the norm as the c.s desks usually close early about 9 or 10, I wouldn't expect you to have any issues if the receipts have refund inst on them.
Usually I would leave it a day or so cuz its nice to have a little seperation but if you go tomorrow it will be ok.

OK, since getting back from our weekend down with MSE friends in Portsmouth on Monday, I have been trying deperately to catch up on this thread and have stayed up tonight to make sure I did, otherwise, I just keep missing out on deals
:rotfl:
Afternoon people
Not been on here for almost a week, my wee dog died last week and I've been too upset to come on the net.
So many posts to read but I just had to comment on this one, having three dogs did you guess? all Jack Russell/Jack Russell cross, and watching our eldest at 16 years old getting slower and wobblier on her feet, I had to add my (((hugs))) and best wishes
I could never understand when I was young why my Dad said no more dogs as he was the one who had to take them to the vets when their time was up. But after having to take 3 to be put down after illness and one killed by another dog when I had him on the lead, I have to say that I know what he meant. However, this would never stop me having another dog or dogs. If I had done that in the past, I would never have shared my life with the later dogs and had the great memories I have of them
So Mona Lisa, it is hard but try to think back on the good times you shared with your wee doggie and what you brought to each others lives, adn do not be afraid to get another dog as there is one out there that needs you as much as you need themUpdate on the dog.
Thank You for all your support & concern - Thank You ♥
I've rung German Shepherd Rescue, Wales division & they are ringing my Vets. Hopefully they will rescue her
Great news Snap-ant and thank you for helping this poor doggie - for being there for them when they needed you
So, now I am up to date, I'm on for joining in with the daily quiz from tomorrow  Night allMr 3Dogs 3-7-12
