Can anyone tell me what a golden receipt is?

Hello all, back from a successful Boots shop, also popped to Sw1nd00n extra

Got some of the dormen satay nuts @ 1p each and some veg crisps @ 1p each, noticed them on a clip strip, one pack of crisps, 2 of nuts, don't know if another local MSEr had "left" them there? Thanks if you did.

Also wondering what date everyone else's veg crisps have on them, they taste lush but BB is 5 months ago!

Got some more DM and left plenty for others, still scanning at 34p, tried looking for pretty much everything else with no luck, couldn't find any coke zero whatsoever either, no spaces on shelf for it so my store don't stock stock it it seems....No BM joints and no more coming back in, asked yesterday and today, that's it apparently!

BTW what does trouted mean?

A golden receipt is one where you have been given Double The difference back for a misprice but they did not mark it as such. Therefore you can in theory return the item for a full refund at a later date.

bought 3 tins of heroes/celebrations @£10
produced the price drop leaflet and no they wouldnt honour them
They so make stuff up as they go along so spoke to duty manager (and got her name) I have emailed Mr T and lets see how we go I just think this whole thing is ridiculous that a company as big as tesco cannot get the simple things like prices and marketing to add up!!!!!
I did mention ecconomic climate and that I could have purchased these at asda but decided to go a little further to Mr T for the clubcard points and that I have no intention of purchasing these tomorrow (yep apparently they go down again tomoz) or any other day

we shall see what happens !!!!


BTW also told they were only put up to £10 for today ???????????? !!!!!! why do they do that other than to trap the unsuspecting customer ........ grrrrrrrr

Trouted is a term for when you have a problem with something in store and the assistant or customer services person gives you grief and does not want to sort it out. These people are called trouts so when you have a run in with one you have been trouted!!

Can anyone please give me a quick brief as to what the current glitches are? I've lost track of the thread tbh.

I know the tub of choc glitch but the pukka pads, party stuff and dairy milk choc bars are what i'm after (120g for 34p?)

Plus of course any others.

I'm gonna leg it to my local 24hr extra in a bit to try and nab a bargain or 3!

i had no sucess except I got 2 x 2l for £3, tried 4 stores extra's and normal, it's going to the school fete with the Swizzells double lollies, wine gummies and the holts de-icer, I have decided to keep the Dairy milk for the children of course??
