39p in my extra at 3pm today

Thanks for that artha, I don't think I will make a special trip then as it's an extra I got them in other day. Paid 25p I think for spicy ones and think same as you for pistachios. Maybe it's another one of those store type specifics!

    Well, the turkey is FAB!

OH did it for me whilst I rested my back.

It only took an hour and a half. It was ready basted and came in its own tin :T (Cleaning up simply involves putting the tin in the recycle bin!)

We had it with fluffy roast potatoes (boiled and shaken to roughen up the edges then popped in hot fat from the turkey still in the tin to crisp off in the hot oven!).

OH even has the wyld wood cider chilling to have in a minute to wash it down!

    Aren't simple pleasures wonderful?!

I'm feeling most contented in my cosy lounge with the world shut away behind the blinds. I also highly recommend having a snuggle blanket now the nights have drawn in too!

Mmmmmm. Hope everyone has a very pleasant evening!

If your car does approx 30 mpg you are paying about 20p a mile!

it's worth bearing in mind for instance if your local T's is 3 miles away, you're paying £1.20 a round trip...it all adds up!!

Thanks locarr, the store I'm thinking of is about a 14 mile round trip so you can see my dilemma. My locals have been cleared of pistachios and these seem to go down well in our house. :)

Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Combo Breaker
Just back from FBr1dge and Tp3rk
I took the scratched set of knives I bought at FB (& got DTD on - thanks wool), back to TP minus the receipt and they let me exchange them for other kitchen goods. That was fine wih me, as I did need a large casserole, new stir fry pan and a pizza tray.

I didn't find much else, but I did find the jumbo wine gums at TP, there was no SEL, but they did scan at 11 for £1
Then I went to FB and found the DM for 34p (SEL said 94p) I only got 6 bars, so there was plenty left. Also got hald price whoospie lamb chops, and lamb stewing steak.

I saw the Chiliean wine at TP, that someone mentioned earlier, but it scanned at the correct price unfortunately, £3.29. Also the Elizabath shaw liquers were scanning at half price as per the SEL, so no luck there. Still did not find any turkey.

I want some of what you have JJ, I feel absolute **** at the moment. Have a really bad stomach ache have taken pain killers which have not kicked in and I want to just curl up on sofa. Tea not cooked for DD3, just picked her up from the gym. Have not fed and sorted my mum for the evening either so I will have to go back out in the cold again in a moment. A mountain of washing up to do and don't know where that has appeared from as DH washed up before he went lunchtime and I had lunch with mum. No one else to ask to take a turn with mum as I have no siblings and my other DDs are both away at uni. :(

    Hi Debs

Turkey was at TP this morning shelf was full of stickered ones, not on end of aisle but with all the other poultry. Couple had stickers taken off but majority had them. You should have visited the stores the other way around as TP does really good whoopsies at 7ish now meat, and cold stuff all 90% off.

Glad you checked the wine I forgot about that one and that you finally have some DM. :)
