Can strike all you want to wont change a thing just disprute and cost the country more money.

Don't mean to sound like I dont care or understand.

My last year @ school while doing o'levels was compleetly disrupted by NUT striking about pension and pay.

Didn't change a damn thing. Cost alot of my friends much needed education. also all after schol activities were affected.

Just so as you know this was under Conservative government.

    No change, method remains.

Government will steam roller through the changes, they not in the business of changing their minds.

So what would you say the best course of action is then?? Nothing and just let all the public sector services go further down the pan than they already are.... Yes going on strike may effect those in education and lose valuable study time but if you look at the bigger picture there are hundreds of different areas in the public sector that are being effected and stretched to the limit due to the cut back some more than others. There has to be a point where people stand up and say enough is enough.

My intention wasnt to make this thread "go bad" it was just to draw an awareness as I said before it will effect many of us....

Think have already irked other readers of this thread so appologise to you guys n girls.

However Little lost is spot on this will have massive effects on everyone so maybe guys n girls take a step back from being the thread police and take notice of what LL is saying, IT WILL HIT YOUR POCKETS TOO.

LL have always though action better than inaction, the bold i've highlighted, thats my job, the cuts in expenditure have reduced me from on going contract to as and when, this affects me wife and kids and all my work mates are in same boat, so we are on your side.

Despite that the gov will still go ahead anyway.

  • Uh Oh, Politics(& not a parrot thats swallowed a clock)! I'm out of here night peeps!
  • This prob sounds really nieve - But with regards to all this pay / pension problems that the government is putting on the public sector - and other sectors- really makes me angry.. ill be honest, i dont know much about all the ins and outs - BUT what annoys me more than anything is the fact that Pop stars, Footballers, Government officialls etc etc.. all receive a high wage... but all the people that work god damn hard for all of us - Teachers, Nurses, Military, Army, carers.. and anyone else working in the public sector really are made to take the cuts.. with no choice..... Some people really have their priorities wrong...

I did many years studying, but TBH - its more than likely that i will start up my own Buisiness (when i learn how to spell it too. lol) once LO has arrived... Just not worth it.

I sometimes actually earn more money - in hindsight, by getting a good DTD at Tescos than i would if i was still working full time.....
